Has anybody been watching "Secrets of Skinwalker Ranch" on TV? This is one of the descriptions of the show.
"A team of experts and scientists undertakes exhaustive research at Skinwalker Ranch, an infamous location for paranormal activity and UFO sightings."
It's in it's second season and has a lot of mysteries. The researches have witnessed UFOs, light beams, cattle mutilation, got radiation poisoning, interference on the phones and electronic devices it goes on and on.
Just wondering if anybody has an opinion of the cause of these mysteries?

No real opinion as I haven't been there. I am well acquainted with the legends, both from listening to Art Bell over the years and from some mentions in Tony Hillerman novels about skinwalkers. I don't rule anything in or out unless I have some evidence one way or the other.

I know it from Art Bell, but I haven't watched the series. I have seen it in the lineup, but haven't yet watched it.

I haven't seen in our schedules. I might have missed it but my wife would want to see it. Anybody got a network or a channel? I'm on Cox cable.
    When is it on?

ok, I’m slightly mistaken My wife says she watches it on History Channel. Reason I’m not informed
is I don’t watch tv much. Tv belongs to wife; computers belong to me. If I watch tv it is watching what she wants to watch with her. Occasionally she allows me to watch a program, as in football season. I handle her eMails for her and messages as she can no longer see the computer or keyboard. Blind in one eye and not seeing much from the other due to Macular degeneration. (not sure that’s spelled-right).

I have been watching that show. Hard to tell how much of it is really authentic and how much isn't. The possibilities are enticing, and the fact that a previous owner of the ranch has some sealed evidence is intriguing.

    D'Ellyn welcome,
I agree with you it's very intriguing, the thing that makes me lean more authentic then scripted is Travis Taylor. I seen him on a lot of legit shows, he just doesn't seem the type to do something underhanded. But whatever it is it's fascinating, enjoyable I hope by the end of the season they have some conclusions. Let's see what happens Tuesday.

Hi Tony, and thank you for the welcome.
I first saw Travis Taylor on the Curse of Oak Island and was fascinated by his astrophysics theory about how the treasure vault might be found. And I lived in Utah for a brief time, north and west of the ranch, so that connection makes me more interested in the series, too. I bet, though, that like Oak Island, they will try to drag this show out for many seasons if it gets good ratings.

You're right profits come first, however I hope they keep it interesting, I'm also a fan of Oak Island, I actually read the Reader's Digest article way back when that started them on this Trek. Actually I think I might still have the Reader's Digest book in my attic somewhere. Did you hear about the skinwalker Ranch while you lived in the area before TV made it popular?

It was indirect knowledge -- rumors of the weird cattle mutilations and strange energies -- but the location was just named as somewhere in Utah, and not named as Skinwalker Ranch. That I heard about from a show promo during an Oak Island episode.

That's amazing that you remember reading the original Readers Digest piece on Oak Island, Tony. I think I stumbled on that show but really got hooked when Gary Drayton started taking a prominent role there. I thought I had remembered Gary from an episode or two on the BBC show Time Team I watched on YouTube, but interestingly that show isn't listed on Gary's IMDB credits.

I've been following Oak Island since the first episode. I know they tried to push the history of it I believe that's in case they find no treasure at least they can hook you on the history. I love watching shows of people searching for Treasures. I live in New York on Long Island and we have a history here of buried treasure supposedly by Captain Kidd.

Skinwalker Ranch is getting pretty interesting. I'm still skeptical about its authenticity, but the last couple shows have certainly been intriguing. Shooting off multiple rockets and apparently getting some kind of visible response looked promising. Have to wonder why only one guy out of several at the launch sites would experience some somatosensory effects. That's seems too unrealistic to me. But they are sure building suspense with the plan to provoke the UAP with next week's helicopter flight.

Are you still watching, @Tony Page?

Yes I'm still watching & enjoying the suspense, I'm hoping for some earth-shattering final show.
I happened to catch investigative show about it from 2019 the other day. The people that live in the area have seen strange lights, UFOs Etc
They had photos similar to the ones on the current show of the beams of light that comes out of the sky.
I have heard of places where a compass doesn't work because of the magnetism in the ground or area. The Bermuda Triangle is one of these places where compasses don't always work.

I have some problems with the possibility of aliens visiting Earth because of the physics of the whole thing, which I won't expand on now.

That leaves a possibility that a few years ago I wouldn't have entertained. I don't need to go into detail. It might be demonic forces screwing with us.

Why are they doing this in such multiple, bizarre ways? Maybe to identify the credulous and the skeptical or to separate those two 'sides' into rival factions. Only guessing.
