I think the reason I can't hit exactly one note at a time cleanly, is the same reason I can't whistle. I just watched a video where the young man said you have to strengthen your cheek muscles with exercise. It gets painful to pucker up for an extended amount of time, when you're out of shape. LOL

My problem with breathing happens when there is a sequence of notes in a row that all require a draw. I get puffed up like a balloon. Then there is a sequence of all blows and I run out of breath. That's what makes me light-headed. He never said anything about that, so it must be only my problem.

Everything else he said that beginners do wrong, I do.

Don't worry about breathing. You're pushing too hard. You'll learn to breath while playing in due time. Just learn to pucker while learning to blow and draw those clear notes mentioned, the do, ra me's When you learn a little about playing, you'll not pucker, you'll seal off the note and breathe through the bottom of your lip and nose.
Continue reading. You might look at this sometime: http://harmonicatunes.com/harmonica-notes/

These people can explain it better. One other thing. It's important if you're not already doing it.
Move the harmonica back and forth, not your mouth or lips. Learn to move the harmonica to the needed hole. You'll be glad you did. Cheers.

    Thinking out loud.

Many musicians who learn to play and want to play better, think, if only I had that sax, so and so plays one and he's really good. If I had a sax like his I could play better, get a better gig, play with a better band. That's common thinking amongst humanity. It was true when engineers used slide rules: if only I had a better slide rule I could make better, more accurate predictions. A nurse a better stecthoscope. That thinking is is boostered and amplified by marketeers to boost sales. It ain't necessarily so. Get the best instrument one can afford and learn to play what you have. Practice is what makes a professional, not the hardware.

    To whom it may concern:
I'm going to shut up unless a question is forthcoming. I'm getting to the point where I might show my ignorance.

My iPad lost wifi tonight. I couldn’t remember how to get it back. I tried to re-pare iPad and desktop, couldn’t think of what to do. About to give up and take up the issue again tomorrow when it came to me. Mickey Mouse.

Night before last I was awake most of the night. I couldn't settle my mind. Last night I slept better but awoke a little before four a.m.
I checked the weather on my mini iPad. Rain and storms are forecast for the next nine days. The wind is not calm but not blowing
hard, only about ten MPH. There is a flash flood warning for the next three days.

The rain is coming down. The wind is not calm but not blowing hard, only about ten mph. I used to like these closed in days, they gave
me comfort. Some like the sunshine, warm days, sun screen, warm beaches. Makes me wonder, do opposites attract and do
couples who are opposite in most ways get along better. After the new wears off, I don't think so.

Is there a purpose to life? No I don't see that. If there is I'm so far off course it won't make any difference. Yet I'm still that same lovable, likelabvle person I've always been.

These are some of my morning thoughts. I've scratched out some as not appropriate for this audience. All I know for certain
is, The rain she is pouring down, and I sit here at the desk in my shorts and tee and thinking, Ït's a little cool in here.

It is 1:22. I didn't know it was so late. But then I did have breakfast at around eleven. I've been observing the rain
and thinking, writing a little. That exercising my fingers on the keyboard which are almost always a littlle stiff
when I get up of a morning. And I think the mind gets a bit of exercise, too.

We, my good wife and I have been doing a bit poorly. She is almost totally bling. And she's getting up in age. No doubt she is still more cabable mentally than am I but we rely on each other. My shortness of breath has bled over into oxygen s starvation and it is happening more often, the least little thing can bring me to total breathlessness and I'm no good for five minutes or longer. By no good I mean frozen in place. But the good new is tomorrow we are getting some help. We have someonecome to clean and assist us who also loves to cook
and will be helping us with whatever we need for right hours a week.

I'm so glad for my son and his family are driving to Wisconsin Monday. and will be gone a week. It's a comfort
having him around for I could call him if my wife fell and I couldn't get her up ao if the reverse happened. So now fortwo days a week, four ours each day, Monday and Tuesday, there will be help nearby.

The rain has slowed to a hurried sprinkle. My mind has about emptied and needs a recharge unless hit upon.
