This is a great source of information about cat care, behavior, etc. by owners of cats.

I'm surprised so many are curious and stop by my apartment wanting to see my newly adopted kitty.

How is it going with you and her, Lon? Is she snuggling and purring?

So how does Cranberry react to all the attention?

    Does she like company?

    She gets in the shower?????
I've never seen a cat that likes water.

Maybe you left your cbd container open, and she took some without you knowing. (I'm just teasing)

By the way, how is it (the cbd) doing for your sleeping? is it working?

My Cranberry is So fast---zip zip zip she's everywhere. I know it's a cat's nature but her speed still amazes me. She loves to pounce on my chest when I am laying down.

My newly adopted cat is the first cat I have ever had and going online to read and study Cat Behavior has been very helpful in understanding Cranberry's behavior.

Looking back, I can say that I didn't know, recognize, or appreciate the needs of my first cats, but I am getting much better at it. Cats do have a language, of sorts, that they use to communicate with their significant human. It is a combination of verbal and body language and, although there are many things that are common among domesticated cats, there are also sharp differences from one cat to another. They are much like people, in that way.

Don't believe everything you read, though. I have read more than one cat expert who has insisted that cats meow only to communicate with human beings, but that's not true. Having filmed both my own cats and the feral cats outdoors, using game cameras, I have frequently heard them use their meow sound with one another, most often in communication with a kitten, and the kitten in communication with an older cat, not necessarily its mom. One of them talks to the camera.

As long as you pay attention to your cat, you will be able to work out a means of communication.

Never had a cat. Been a long time since I've had a dog. Won't have another animal. I've got a wife.
I read to her last night until she slept. We're reading from the Book of Calm. I only have two hands
and they can handle no more, not much more.

I have always taken cats for granted and have never owned one. My contact was always with outside cats that fended for themselves. I never thought about what and where they ate or slept or if they were healthy and happy. Now I find my self buying a Cat Bed, Crystal Litter. Cat Nip, Healthy Cat Food & Treats, Cat Collar--
Toys, Scratching Post. I consider myself to be a responsible person so I will take good care of this sweet and lovely creature.
