Flowering cactus. Both the sight and the words seem like an oxymoron. Of all the houseplants I've had in my life, I've never had cacti. I recall being told that some of the large cacti being sold in stores (specifically barrel cacti in shallow pots) were already dead from being uprooted, but they take a long period of time before they show their decline. It turned me off to having them.
Beautiful pictures! I would never use a cellphone as a Camera...in fact, I would never use a cellphone! HAL
My last photo was of the check I had to send in for my 2020 taxes, and the form that went with. Not posting that. LOL I snap all of the checks and invoices I pay, to keep digital records instead of paper files.
I was playing with the Blink security camera and while reviewing pictures I thought this screen capture of our front entry looks kind of like a still life. Yeah, I'm bored.
I have lived with this bearded iris plant for almost 40 years and this is the first year I know of that it has gone to seed.
On a bush. Almost hit me in the face while walking. Identified later as a "pink striped oak worm caterpillar" (anisota virginiensis). Which will eventually turn into a small moth. I've seen these moths before but never the caterpillars.
