Today we had a checkup from my wife's PCP. I recently requested some new scrips for her meds. He said that he would send them in but would like to see there in the office. I said that was not likely to happen because of danger involved with me trying to get her out of house. He suggested a Zoom meeting and I agreed but could not make a clean meeting. So today I get a call saying he is coming to the house. Yeah!!! He left happy with my care giver job

My naturopathic doctor used to make house calls, and we did that for a couple years. I think a lot of boutique practice docs do this. Hope more private practice docs get back to this old model of service delivery.

We have a Medicare Advantage Plan, and they send out a nurse each year to do a health assessment, plus they have some kind of an online or phone nurse that you can call. I do the home health assessment each year, because it gives me Amazon points for having it done, but I have never used the online doctor services.
Except for the routine checkups, I seldom need to go to the doctor unless it is an emergency, and then I and up in the ER and not the doctor’s office.

Judy fell tonight in the bathroom..I was with her helping her get seated then she just collapsed. 911 came and has taken her to the hospital.

We are keeping you and your wife in our prayers and hoping for the best, too, @Al Amoling . I am sure you are busy at the hospital, but please update us when you can and once you know what happened with your wife to cause the collapse.

I'm not at the hospital....I live in a blue controlled state so I can't go there until they say I can...I'm waiting right now for a call on her status.

I forgot about that. Actually, I think that most of the hospitals everywhere are still not allowing people to have visitors, or at least not like they used to do. Hopefully, they will call and let you know something soon. Maybe the fact they have not called is good news that it was nothing serious.

Can you call the hospital and ask how she is doing, and maybe have a call put through to her room ? Even if Judy can’t answer it, her nurse might let you know how she is doing.
