If people that have been vaccinated can now carry this Delta variant and pass it along to others, even though they don't get ill, that seems like an ideal environment for the virus to reproduce and mutate, in ways that make it more able to survive the current vaccines. IOW, those virus particles (virions?) that are able to survive in the airways of someone who has been vaccinated, will reproduce and mutate further, and the ones that survive will always be in the direction of being more resistant to the vaccine. Looks like we may be in this for at least another year, the way it's going.
And THAT is what infuriates me when the powers that be reward those who Got-the-Shot by telling them they can go maskless. If you believe that masks only protect those around you (and not yourself) as we have been told from Day One, then telling anyone to "go maskless" is a betrayal of duty...or it's an admission that masks are only there as a sign of submission. And those who would scream at others for not wearing masks yet rip theirs off merely because "experts say" are hypocrites of the highest order.
We’re all going to put up with it because we can’t help ourselves and as long as the unvaccinated keep spreading the virus. And the virus keep mutating and the unvaccinated keep spreading these mutations. We need to put the unvaccinated under some restrictions, things they can’t do unless vaccinated.
Hate to break it to ya Bill but even though someone has been vaccinated doesn’t mean they can’t spread the virus….or any virus. The vaccination only helps those who catch the virus to get through the effects a little easier and not die from it. None of the vaccines Prevent someone from catching Covid or any of the variants nor from spreading the disease which is why they’re now talking about the masking thing again…..even for those who have been vaccinated. The death toll is supposedly going up which is why they’re touting the vaccination so heavily but they keep allowing those who hit the southern border to come in-country even if they are sick. Now There’s where a lot of the spreaders are coming from. Thousands of people with Covid, TB and even smallpox are flooding the borders and the government is not only allowing it to happen but helping it to happen.
I chose this thread because the title is Vaccine NEWS. This is a new wrinkle with the Delta variant. They think it's transmissible by vaccinated, AS WELL AS, unvaccinated people, unlike the original virus. The longer we let this virus move around from person to person, and back again, the more time for mutations to occur. Mutations in the direction of more transmissible will persist. Those that mutate toward less transmissible will die out. It's just common sense. The scenario looks like we will develop a new vaccine or a booster, for those who took it in the first place, and then we will start this all over again. You all may have the last word.
I wasn't trying to attack you. The rhetoric (from "official sources") is inconsistent at best. I guess one either believes or one doesn't. Public health has been weaponized and turned into an issue of faith and divisiveness.
You'd have been a big hit in Germany eighty-some years ago. If the government's experts and media say it, you believe it, and you want to punish anyone who dares to disagree. After all, we'll all die if we allow anyone to think for themselves. America was founded on the principle of unquestionably doing what you're told. Rather than being angry at the scientists who created this virus, you're angry with those of us who don't hold them up as our gods and our rulers.
Respiratory viruses are gonna spread until herd immunity is reached, either naturally or in combination with an effective vaccine. And they generally mutate to be more contagious but less dangerous. Face diapers won't stop the spread and the medical/scientific community has known this for decades. Nor will lockdowns. They found out last fall that the more tightly locked down areas had a higher rate of infection. People who were "allowed" to be out in the fresh air and sunshine had lower infection rates than those cooped up in closed quarters. This was shown globally, not just in the US. The establishment has been moving the goalposts on a regular basis now for a year and a half. "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain." No politician cares about your health, but they do care about absolute power. When you mix medicine with politics, you get politics. Note that this was never a medical problem. Right from the start it was seized immediately by the political establishment and here we are.
Not only is it fear and divisiveness, but now one group of citizens has been told that those who do not comply with Government are literally gonna kill "the compliant." As always, we continue to be turned against each other, with absolute obedience being the current core of the conflict. Individualism is personally lethal. Talk about destroying all that is American.
The vaccinated have always been able to spread the virus just as @Bobby Cole said. The mutations--whether natural or man-made--have outpaced the vaccine. Vaccinated folks are now getting sick and dying from the virus, but the news is being suppressed. All you will hear that hints at it is "deaths mostly among the unvaccinated" which may mean that 51% of the deaths are among the unvaccinated and 49% are among the vaccinated.
You will never hear the words "proportionally" or "disproportionally." Nor will you hear the phrase "rate of infection."
Clearly, the vaccinated don't trust the vaccination, yet they want the rest of us to be required to make the same mistake.
Yep. We were all born in liberty and most have taken it for granted. I asked some liberal friends around 3 years ago if they could define liberty, and I'm still waiting for an answer. If you can't define it, then you won't know when it's being taken away from you. I'm still in shock as to what has happened in the past year and a half, and I am not optimistic about the future. I have not really gotten anything negative about being a dirty Jew unvaxxed person from my circle of friends. It's not even brought up anymore which I'm glad for. But I imagine many are thinking about it. And probably a lot in my family also, many of which I have not seen since Christmas 2019 even though they're all within an hour's drive. I don't care about the willfully ignorant anymore. This issue is much bigger than I am.
