Beth at least the surgery is behind you now altough that may not be too comforting when your in pain and we are all pulling for your quick recovery.
I am waiting for the announcement that Beth is cancer-free and only yearly checkups are necessary. The words, "We can find no cancer or any indication that it will appear in the near future" are the most beautiful words. My wish for Beth is that she hears them real soon.
Just a quick update. Using the microphone on my iPad so this could be interesting. Still can’t type well because use of right arm is limited. I’m quite sore and cranky but managed to take a shower by myself today. Yesterday my husband had to help me shower but I managed it today. He is taking care of emptying the drains and putting clean bandages on. It’s weird to have plastic drain tubes coming out of my side! The physical surgery was a success: the plastic surgeon was able to reconnect four lymph channels which is outstanding. They sometimes can only find one or two depending on the patient’s anatomy. I feel blessed that he was able to find and connect four of them! I won’t know the pathology report until next week so I remain anxious over that. Thanks again to all of you; your support means so much to me.
I am glad the mic is working out so well. I tried it once and didn't have much luck as I can't talk very clearly. So happy on the lymph channel reconnect. Just awesome! It sounds like every day is getting better. Is radiation a given or does that depend on the outcome of the tissue pathology.?
