Interesting quote form C.S. Lewis regarding freedom.....apply it to wearing of masks and taking of vaccines. CS Lewis said this: “Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”
If any of you happened to catch the Emmys Monday night and wondered why no one in that crowded L.A. County venue was wearing a mask, it's not because the event was taken over by a bunch of Right-Wing COVID-Denying Neo-Nazis, it's because L.A. County makes an exception for entertainers. While the county's Health Officer Order mandates that masks be worn indoors by everyone, exempted events include film, television, and music productions. The Emmys fall into that category, and the audience members sitting at the crowded tables were considered to be "performers." Perhaps the CDC needs to look into Botox (or hypocrisy) as a possible vaccine. Mask Up, sheep! Link
The Hollywood crowd would be exempt, anyhow. They can't contaminate anyone because, like Obama's friends, they're sophisticated.
As it was in S. California toward the end of the first lockdowns, a restaurant outfitted with out of doors seating was closed down but the movie crew that set up next door to the restaurant was allowed to keep shooting. And as a special note: The executive branch of government [which includes the USPS] is still exempt from getting the inoculations but those same people who are supposed to enforce the rule of law (the executive branch) are holding the sword of Damocles over the heads of everyone else including our military.
