We all have fun here, socialising, playing games, playing music, just having the Craic...but apart from @Yvonne Smith and @Bobby Cole , do any of you have your Significant others. as members of this or any other forum where you both post?

My o/h is completely uninterested in social media and that includes FB...he is a member of a specialist car forum, but he doesn't post he just reads.

I sometimes tell him some of the drama that goes on in forum life..and he shakes his head and says '' Oh I don't know how you have the patience to put up with that''...lol...but also he indulges me by listening to some of the interesting snippets occasionally that I read to him..

That said...he's a dedicated @Ike Willis fan...when he comes home from work, he'll always ask how 'Ike' is today...I think he sees himself very much as a younger version of Uncle Ike.. :D

So in essence, is your SO involved in forum life...or not interested..?

Yes Lisa does take an interest in the forum as we often discuss subjects that crop up on SO, individual members aren't usually mentioned apart from Chrissy who I have daily chats with on Google, so she does know her quite well, maybe keeping an eye on me ;)

I feel I do sometimes spend too much time on here especially in my evenings when it tends to get busy, Lisa is OK about that, but I do feel guilty that I am neglecting her :( though she is often busy reading various university papers, or writing a new text book, so it works both ways.

Lisa said she would not consider joining a forum or any social group, though her daughter posts daily on Facebook and she is a member but never posts herself. I guess her life at present is overfull with socialising and meetings concerning her work at the university.

Pickles doesn't care as long as his needs are met. :)

Exactly what Pickles does, he has the whole house to sit or lay and he is squeezed next to me in the recliner, good thing I watch my weight or 2 of us wouldn't fit. :)

Boo is a 90 lb. yellow lab .... only the floor works for him.
LilBear is a Bichon Frise - small, and squeezes in anywhere:D

What a cutie!!! Pickles isn't much in the looks department, his personality isn't that great either but he's smart and very clever and amusing and I love him except when he wakes me up early. :)

Just to answer the question seriously for Holly, when I did have an SO, he resented my time on forums and it was always an issue.

When my husband was still alive, if I was on my computer - he was on his. No problem!

I got my first computer when my husband was already dying and I would spend time on it while he slept, which was a lot because of all the pain meds. So, with him it wasn't an issue but it was a lifeline for me since I could barely leave the house for that year.

My husband doesn't mind me being on the computer. He knows I'm on FB and forums and he knows I emails lots of people but he isn't overly interested unless there's something from one of our kids or grand kids. I am at a laptop in the kitchen now but I also have a desk top computer by the bed so he is used to seeing me on a computer. I think he's happy I have something I like to do while he's fishing or outside under the hood of a car or sitting at the fire pit with my brother. Although they encourage me to go out there with them and I do sometimes. My daughter gave me a tablet and I gave it back and said it was too hard to use. Now I sort of regret that as I could have taken it out to the fire pit or the times I sit on a chair next to some old car and look at my husband's legs sticking out from under it.

My Honey and I actually met online so at one time he was on computers...until that fisherman caught the best catch of his life!:D Now when I am on my laptop you can find him outside or outside! He loves the outdoors and is there every minute he can be. When he is inside he likes to watch his TV shows and as long as I am on my laptop in the same room with him...he is a contented man.
