Well . Luckily we have a forest behind us, So if a strike does happen , And if we run out of Toilet paper ,,there are plenty of leaves to bag up on the Ground to use..Kidding!!! Also Wipes and Kleenex works well too...... Been there done that..
Me too but they messed up the old stand by Catalogs like Sears,Roebuck ,etc,, Now the pages are that hard rubbery type glossy stuff. I had sdaved up some newspapers and phone books, but hubby threw them away. I told him if shtf he can use the slip and slide paper for his tissue. Some people are from the " show me state" .
Another solution to a TP shortage is to get a handheld head on your shower and get in the shower and clean up. Sort of a standup bidet.
Having observed my cats in this task, I don't think that is something that I would care to do even if I were capable of the gymnastics that it would require.
