Because this whole thing stunk right from the very beginning in March 2020. Governors and other politicians closing businesses because they feel like it? Mandating that people wear face diapers despite numerous studies showing that they are ineffective against respiratory viruses? Inalienable rights are just that -- inalienable. They cannot be retracted. If they could, then they wouldn't be inalienable. There is no provision in the Constitution for the suspension of natural rights for peaceful innocent people. And as we have learned in recent months, there are a LOT of problems with the so-called vaccines -- which aren't really vaccines. Screw the government. I'll go down with the ship if necessary.
You're a Stubborn Tough Dude Bruce----Stay isolated up there at the Lakes for the rest of the year an you should be OK
I tested positive over the October 1 weekend and will be in isolation until l the 20th. I am in my one bedroom apartment taking a variety of required daily drugs. My BP/pulse/temp are being taken every two hours for the ten days. All meals are brought to me. I occupy myself with my laptop/ reading/television. I miss socializing and getting out of my apartment. I think I know what prison solitary confinement would be like. Isolation is no Picnic believe me. Lon Tanner
Just like people who have a surgery, sooner or later released from the hospital, but have to stay in bed all day at home or just can't go anywhere.
I thought the entire place was already in "lock down" before your diagnosis...??? I can't keep up with the stories.
Actually, Beth, I think that "lock down" ended, because Lon was taking some photos of people he was eating with and putting on here. To tell you the truth, Beth, I can' keep us with the stories either.
Since my DX on the first we have one more resident and staff person in assisted living DX'd and a quarantine of our whole facility has been extended until the 25th as imposed by health authorities. I will remain isolated until then
Is everyone vaccinated? We were led to believe that the pandemic would be under control if we all got the shots.
@Lon Tanner:. I'm curious about the testing protocol in a facility like you are living when there is an outbreak... Have they done follow up tests on you, since you were first diagnosed? Or will they wait until your quarantine period is over and do another test? Or what? Did they tell you?
Everyone at the facility could be fully vaccinated, but IF the facility decided to take away the Covid 19 restrictions, and allow family members to visit, that "visiting" could've been the problem. Plus, anyone who works there, but doesn't live there, can carry it to the facility with them, even if they have been fully vaccinated. It's unreal how many full-vaccinated folks can get around those that haven't been vaccinated at all. Our niece and her 19 year old daughter haven't been vaccinated at all, but, my wife's sister has totally. But, the 19 year old is now living part-time with the grandma (wife's sister) and goes to college. So, whatever she gets at college, she will bring home to her grandma and then to her mom and dad. The 19 year old mom says she will not get the vaccine and "absolutely no need for it" she says/thinks.
They are taking my vitals every two hours and will do UP YOUR NOSE TESTING before the quarantine ends.
