My first wife died in 1989 and I retired shortly thereafter and then remarried . My life during these years has been a WHIRLWIND of wonderful activities and places to live. I have no regrets and have wonderful memories.
I did a lot of dating after the death of my first wife and retired before I met and married before I met and married my second wife. We were married over looking Emerald Bay at Lake Tahoe California with her two daughters and my daughter attending. Our honeymoon trip was on a 10 day sail aboard a 90 foot twin masted Schooner. We boarded the schooner at Nufalouka, Tonga and sailed the Tonga chain of islands stopping at many of them along the way to visit with natives. Should I continue?
Don't just tell us facts, Lon. Tell us how you felt, what your thoughts were as you married your second wife; describe what you saw as sailed aboard the ship, etc. so that we can share your memories, too.
After the 10 days we flew from Nufalouka via Air New Zealand to Christchurch where we bought a two bedroom townhouse over looking Christchurch Bay five blocks away from my wife’s aging parents home. My Kiwi wife wanted to show me New Zealand and we used her fathers Ford to take a trip to Queenstown where I did a 200 foot Bungy Jump into the Kararu River on my 65th birthday. I had to do it because my wife had done the jump before we ever met. EGO you know. MORE?
