I loved Mads Mikkelsen in the Casino Royale, but I was sorry he played a bad guy. Who will be the next James Bond? I wanted Aiden Turner, (from Poldark), but I don't think he's in the running. My wife is dying for Tom Hardy to be the next one.
Ian Fleming spoke to The New Yorker and explained: "When I wrote the first one, in 1953. I wanted Bond to be an extremely dull, uninteresting man to whom things happened ... One of the bibles of my youth was Birds of the West Indies, by James Bond, a well-known ornithologist, and when I was casting about for a name for my protagonist I thought, My God, that’s the dullest name I’ve ever heard, so I appropriated it. Now the dullest name in the world has become an exciting one. Mrs. Bond once wrote me a letter thanking me for using it".
It's not ringing any bells for me, and a quick search found nothing. But I stopped watching after Roger Moore's tenure.
Not really a fan of Bond but I liked Honor Blackman despite the disparaging name she was given in Goldfinger. She died in 2020 at age 94 and was still beautiful.
Not sure who this Goldfinger gal is, but I liked the gold bikini so much, I bought one and it lost its shine within hours and after three days on the beach, most of the gold was gone.
There was one more actor who played James Bond. In the 1967 parody movie Casino Royale the part of James Bond was played by David Niven
There was another actor who played James Bond this is from the internet. George Robert Lazenby (/ˈleɪzənbi/; born 5 September 1939)[1] is an Australian actor and former model. He was the second actor to portray fictional British secret agent James Bond in the Eon Productions film series, playing the character in On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969)
U Yes George Lazenby is one of the six wax figures in the photo as he was an ”official” James Bond whereas David Niven wasn’t.
Left to right if I’m correct: Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Daniel Craig, Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Pierce Brosnan
