@Bonnie Thomas and @Denise Happyfeet , love the Freudian slip! Good thing you quoted it before Bonnie could fix it. Love you ladies!
I actually don't even know if I want to even date anymore to be honest. I've gotten comfortable and don't even want to spend the time getting ready for a first date. I remember my first date with John, I spent hours getting ready and was really nervous.
Well guess who's getting ready to go to lunch for Chinese food, LOL!! He is so sweet and kind, I want to go to lunch with him We are meeting there
Not listening is a warning sign Denise, but you have to remember that on first dates and for a while after we are not really ourselves, because we are trying to impress. It takes a while before the real person emerges, if ever, but then nothing ventured, nothing gained. If I wasn't with Lisa I would be like @Chrissy Page and not be too bothered, because I am happy on my own.
Hi Terry, Thanks much, we just talked on the phone, and he listened really well, so I don't know why I thought he wasn't a good listener. He let me explain why I had cold-feet, and he real nice about it Not pushy
I'm meeting him at 10 at Walmart, LOL! We will probably go look around in there until we get hungry, then go down to the Chinese joint
Both wife and I have said something to each other about interrupting during a conversation we were having with someone. I've learned that sometimes I will interrupt someone so I won't forget what I was going to say to them. Good excuse, hugh? LOL Ok, if he interrupts "just a little", as you say, I sure don't see any "Warning" sign with that. We aren't in a college classroom where all we can do is sit there and listen until the instructor asks a question. On a date, the couple have to share the conversation, not one take it over completely. Wife and I had a lot to talk about, when we first met in person and we shared the conversation. Just remember one thing, Denise............make sure he doesn't mind doing laundry, running the dishwasher, vacuuming, whatever sometimes. My thing was cooking and my wife and her mom found out pretty fast that I could cook and loved it. Don't have a problem doing the other things either. Just don't get a "mancho" dude!
This is today?! Super cool, @Denise Happyfeet ... I'll look forward to hearing about it when you get back! And ya know, I think meeting at a place like WalMart is a really good idea... neutral territory. Only please put something on besides your jammies like I teased someone else here about a few weeks ago... was it @Chrissy Page ? Yes, I think so.
