Watching their abuse and possible future genocide of the Uyghurs, I think if they ever did take over political control of my country and yours, we sure would not fare well.

And there's the rub, people living in democracies are turning on each other, which if it goes far enough will weaken the freedom they enjoy. They won't like what could happen next.

Coming together, uniting as one nation, is the only power that will work. Hating on the other side of the political coin might feel right and it might feel good, but it won't fix the problem of unity.

Empires all fall sooner or later, Rome lasted 500 years think it was the longest . It fell for some of the same reason's we did. The Otterman was the last empire before America.
Also we started off on the wrong foot allowing slavery. We almost abolished slaverty when creating The declaration of Independance but South Carolina would not join unless they could keep slaves. Not that it matters which state really.

We don't have to see soldiers walking around with big furry hats and talking with strange accents to be "taken over" by China or Russia.

It's all about the ideas. And ideas know no borders.

Marx's Communist Manifesto listed ten "planks" that were political goals for turning a country Communist. It is scary to read -- we've been adopting his ideas more and more for the past century. And none of the sites have been updated since COVID -- so it's actually worse than what you will find.

A "Duck-duck" list of the Ten Planks with commentary.

Q: If a Democrat Representative believes in and pushes for an all-Communist agenda (and there's plenty of them out there) is he a Communist or still just a Democrat?

A: His party label is irrelevant, it's his ideas that matter.

In the past couple of years they don't really try to hide it much as was previously necessary. So much of the younger population is so brainwashed now (thanks to government schools -- Plank #10) that they think socialism is better than freedom (although it's never presented in those terms).

The ideas have even infiltrated our generation and are accepted to an alarming extent.

Anyway, that's the world as I see it.

How do you envision things going from this point? I don't feel very optimistic. The world seems to be teetering on dramatic change, that's for sure. Then again, it could well be that the media is feeding us dramatically overstated stories of great worldwide unrest?

I know most will not agree or strongly disagree with this but that statue of liberty most people honor and its message are not American or represent our historical facts.
What it says in reality is opposite what our founders wanted or wrote. If you beleive that then you agree America is just a poor house for the world.
Why a french monument anyway ,wasn't there an American who could sculpture.

Not loking good to me ,and I do agree the world is in trouble.
Water is being polluted or over used, crop lands being depleted and being used for fuel and animal feed and pastures. Urban sprawl is always prefered by the water which in turn destroys more waters.
Onlt 2% of water on earth is fresh drinking water the rest is salt! Why water is called Blue Gold now, look at the large volumn's drying up. Not good news for our young,no wonder the buggers hate us,lol.

"...and there's plenty of them out there..." If you would, could you provide the names of one or more of the "democrat" politicians and an example or two what they have said or done?

I might add (as I've pointed out already) that today's Russia is not a communist country. Yeltsin (first president) brought in American economists to convert to capitalism. They're are still recovering from that. That might also explain why there is still Russian corruption money floating about the world. https://www.thenation.com/article/archive/harvard-boys-do-russia/

China is now opening police stations in foreign countries, including the U.S. to carry out policing on their own citizens...supposedly.

A short video of an interview with a alleged China expert. I don't know that I agree with his thoughts, especially regarding Russia, but I found it interesting nonetheless.

    Interview

It is only a few minutes long.
