Got results today...the only thing they didn't like was I didn't allow them to put in the dcd that makes it easier to see things. I told them that the last time I was tested they brought 4 nurses in to pit in the dye and I was never going thru that again.
    Thanks for good wishes

OMG... it's RAINING!!! And not some puny sprinkles, either... it's comin' down out there. w00t2.gif

Earlier we were out watering and sweeping the pool. I pulled out a skimmer to dump the leaves and dumped out a snake... eeeeeeeeeeek!! He wasn't very big and he hustled to the flower bed; I guess my reputation as a snake killer is known far and wide. (Actually I threw down the skimmer basket and shrieked like a little girl, but whatev.) My husband said, "what kind was he?" And I said, "a brown one." I like to zero in on the details.

There was also a little frog in there; he was probably glad to stop hiding from that snake. I'm so thrilled to have a really RAINY day. It's so cool and the air's so clean. Yeah.

Killing " all : snakes just cost you a 'like' Beth.:D Snakes are only wild answer to rats, mole's and other pest. Hubby takes them to the woods with is snake grabber. Around here people have wiped out most of the wildlife. Now I'd kill every dammed Boa, Anaconda that has devastated the Everglades and some other habitats.

Took the old 2005/178,000 Durango in to have a full rear brake job done on it. Had to stick around because it's the only vehicle we have and, unless really necessary, the shop doesn't do take-home or pickup of customers.

Next Monday, the Durango goes to a different shop for new spark plugs. The Iridium type plugs. Supposedly they last for 100,000 miles. We have them in our Durango now, but are very, very close to that 100,000 miles on those. We know the owner/mechanic of this shop and they have a take-home/pickup customer van. So, I don't have to stick around while work is done.

Both places have done work on our Durango, but one place only does tire/suspension work, not engine/electronics. We have an account with them. The other shop does everything.

Once upon a time, when we were in Sedona, we stopped at the main street watering hole and they had deep fried rattle snake and cactus strips. I always thought that the big snake roundups in Florida could provide meat to all the restaurants for human consumption or even free dog food. I know there are a lot of bones but putting anything in a crock pot long enough will get the meat to fall off the bones. Beautiful skins for leather...
I like snakes for what they do. And I handle them sometimes even though they pee on me. But when I pull back a tarp on the garden and snakes go running off;) in every direction I get creeped out and sometimes scream like a girly girl too.

It's really unusual for us to have a drought; we usually have plenty of rain. Our water bill was over $150 last month-- watering the landscaping to keep from losing it all, so I'm really happy to hear thunder.

Mary, I try not get close enough for one to pee one me, but I will use a grabber if hubbys busy. That may be a good idea if things get really tight. Not sure dog will eat snake meat but guess they would if they got hungry enough. I know I would it had nothing else. People who've never been hungry will say different.

For two weeks, I have been working to clear those horrible big thorned thistles from my sheep pasture. I try to do it early in the morning and in the evening till I can't see. I am always wringing wet! At 11:30 I drove down to our hay auction to see if there was anything I could use. Truck load that would deliver and (hopefully unload and stack:rolleyes:) No luck.
So will help hubby put up the transparent apples for freezer applesauce. He remembers putting up some food with his mom so he like to do apples and pack jars with beans when they are ready. Brings him back to his childhood and I am happy I don't have to do it all myself.;)
Tonight after chores it will be back to thistles.
Oh yeah, and sit all day in front of the tv cuz I'm old.;)
