The experts are being shut out of the decisions. The experts are being slandered on every front. People whose credentials were impeccable a couple of years ago are now being referred to as "hacks." There is nothing medical to this.
Believe what you want, Al and John, but I'd rather believe experts in healthcare than people that have no experience/education in it. Biden goes by what Fauci says and, no matter how you look at Fauci, or other health officials (like ER and ICU doctors/nurses), apparently the virus is very, very real. A little off-topic, but my wife has found out that she will have to take a prescription blood pressure med. Her BP is just too high. She really doesn't want to, but if her doctor tells/asks her "want to live or die", she will take the new med. IOW, my VA doctor and her PCP are the experts, neither of us really are.

Yup. But what we must also consider in our daily interactions is that cult members are often lost souls looking for a place to belong. Secondarily, the Truth genuinely resonates with most people. Most people innately know what is real. I'm not certain how or why this is in humans. So the challenge is to put my own frustration on the back burner and provide a welcoming bridge for those who are in cults solely to have a place to belong, and not necessarily because they truly believe. The ones who are hardest to reach are those who believe themselves to be intellectually superior and have built Walls of Ego around themselves. That Defensiveness of Self presents quite the challenge to overcome. These are the folks for whom Group Think is most necessary to keep those walls from crumbling.
