A related question to Ghislaine's trial: Has it ever been determined with any degree of certainty where Jeffrey Epstein's money came from?
Part of it came from foundations that he and the Clinton’s had set up. Since they were (supposedly) rescuing children and helping orphans, they got lots of donations. I think that Oprah was also involved with this, but don’t remember the details anymore. Also, Maxwell’s father was rich, and I think that he helped fund things if they needed that. After Epstein blackmailed a few movie stars, congressmen, and royalty; he probably got lots of money from doing that, too.
No surprise. This whole trial looks to have been a "clean-up" operation designed to protect the pedophiles who were involved. With Epstein gone, the trial over with no names or salacious information spilled yet, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Maxwell shuffles off the mortal coil in the near future.
I think if she were being "suicided" it would have been before now. I thought she'd use some of her insider information to get a plea deal or something. Now she'll just go to jail and the whole thing will simply fade away. (Wonder who got custody of the Bill Clinton in High Heels painting. )
Perhaps she has a "fail-safe" file that would be released if she dies and the evil-doers don't know what is in it or how to stop it. As I understand it, the case files have now been re-sealed and will not be made public.
After her sentence, Maxwell’s lawyer stated that he was already preparing an appeal. If for whatever reason she is granted such a thing, the files will have to be re-opened. Now, so far as I know, someone who is interested in looking at those files can sue under the freedom of information act and take it to a higher court.
I watched the attorney analysis on Fox. It seems like the only real basis for an appeal is that the jury was a bit pressured with the threat of Covid shutting the deliberation down, or the panel having to remain in session over New Years. He also said that Federal prosecutors can still negotiate a reduced sentence with cooperation since she herself did not testify in court. I think there is still a possibility of prosecution in the Bahamas(?). A number of other victims could be brought into the cases if it is appealed as well.

What better way to find children who are not wanted or have no families than a children’s foundation that is supposed to be rescuing them ? They can just say that the child was adopted, and nobody would even question it. This was by design, not by accident.
According to the Sydney Herald, some of the Epstein records are being released after over 20 years of being sealed. These are records for a lawsuit settle meant involving an underage girl being forced to have sex with several people, including Prince Andrew. If Andrew only had sex with a 17 girl in the UK that would no be illegal as the age of consent is 16.
