I watch videos posted on Seniors Only Club threads rarely and when I do, nearly always old music ones.
I rarely do, unless it's short and looks interesting. Likewise, if I post a video I try to keep them short and on-topic.
Unless I've already seen them, I often do. But unless I know what to expect or it was posted by someone whose opinions or tastes I particularly value, I am not overly patient with them, so I often exit them without having viewed the whole thing. I am the same way when I click on a video on YouTube or elsewhere. If they don't get to a point that I find interesting quickly, I'm out of there. I am far more likely to watch a posted video than to click on a link. When I post videos, it is usually because I find them to be funny or especially worthwhile.
I agree with Beth. Part of the issue is my backwoods internet technology. The other part is I'm not gonna sit in from of my monitor and watch an hour-long video, regardless of what the subject might be. Perhaps I'm missing out on instructions on how to halt The New World Order, but I'm not gonna spent 12 drooling hours watching videos for a snippet of salient advice.
I watch music videos because I like music videos. If a video sounds interesting, I'll click on it but if it's longer than 10 - 15 minutes, I won't usually watch it.
I am about the same as everyone else. If it is a video about something that I am interested in, I will at least try watching it and see if I am interested. Sometimes, I post a really long video, but I always tell people what it is basically about, and that it is going to last an hour (or whatever length). I do not expect many people to watch it unless they have an interest in the topic and want to take the time to look, so I try to give a good overview of the video topic. If someone posts a video or a link with no good information saying what it is about, and why they feel it is important to share with everyone, then I seldom even look to see what it is in the video or link. Exceptions would be the song videos and maybe the funny ones, where we do not expect an explanation.
