I am astonished. Truly never thought I'd see this day, but here it is. https://www.yahoo.com/news/watershed-moment-nyc-law-allows-060008496.html

NEW YORK (AP) — More than 800,000 noncitizens and “Dreamers” in New York City will have access to the ballot box — and could vote in municipal elections as early as next year — after Mayor Eric Adams allowed legislation to automatically become law Sunday.

Opponents have vowed to challenge the new law, which the City Council approved a month ago. Unless a judge halts its implementation, New York City is the first major U.S. city to grant widespread municipal voting rights to noncitizens.

More than a dozen communities across the U.S. already allow noncitizens to cast ballots in local elections, including 11 towns in Maryland and two in Vermont.

This will be nationwide if the Dems get to federalize elections.

In some areas, not only is it legal for non-citizens to vote in municipal elections but non-citizens are also allowed to run for public office.
When I lived in Nogales, Az the Mayor was Mexican by birth and a citizen of Mexico. I don’t think he ever did seek a U.S. citizenship.

Eventually it will lead to violence just wait and see. No way are we going to be ruled by criminals who have been stealing what little we have left. If there ever was a reason to burn a voting station then this should be it. The battle for America has started ! Those lawless so called leaders who think they have the authority to moot the entire constitution should all be hung. mho

I hear a lot of craziness coming out of New York. One of the Representatives says the filibuster (in the Senate) should go away for "Constitutional issues". I guess that means that when the Democrats want to violate the Constitution, there should be no way to stop them. How can people continue to elect such stupid people?

The only way they can win an election is to break the law and they are very good at it.

Congress is continuously pushing to Federalize elections, doing away with the Electoral College.

We’re finding out piece by piece that the Jan. 6th “insurrection” was just as phony as the election itself.

No one of integrity and good reasoning had anything to gain by storming the capital the same thing as no one of good reasoning had anything to gain by voting for Biden and Harris.

Along with all the votes from dead people, I have no doubt that a great number of votes from illegals were also permitted to stand.

Just the other day a highly biased voting rights bill was turned down when it was found sitting within a bill that might have helped NASA.
Just more highly questionable actions by the Dems.

And this mornings' news shows were chock-full of saying that Republicans trying to protect the electoral process "smells like Jim Crow all over again." Because we all know it was the Republicans who put all those laws into place...right? Wanna hazard a guess as to the percentage of the population that believes it, or is it too early in the day for a dose of fatalism?
