Hi Ken, or anyone that knows, I am really frustrated with having to log into the forum and I couldn't make heads or tails out of the info given already on this "board" about the issue.

Can you tell what else I can do? If I click a link in an email notification, I have to login, If I leave a forum page for any part of the forum, I have to login, not every time, but often.

I'm using Firefox Browser, did a disk cleanup yesterday, clean out cookies in the browsers settings, check the "save" button when I log into site.

    Thanks for any help, Denise

PS I also have allowed for seniorsonly.club to be an exception on my security protections

Can you try another browser just to see if it's a browser problem?

good idea, sorry I didn't think of that. I have done/checked all my settings on the browser but still might be ;)

Thought it was just Firefox but I started using Google Chrome and it was all good, skipping around the forum, different areas, closing the tab completing after saving login details. But I ran into the same issue Ken, but only when I clicked new "logged" bookmark I made on Chrome.

I'll try Edge next I have that one too of course ;)

Now, if I get an e-mail message about a post, and go into that e-mail, I have to log-in. But, if I go into My Favorites/SOF in the internet, I don't have to log-in.

I just had to login 2 times in a row, once after each reply to two separate posts. I'd be logged in, type up the reply, click "post reply" and the login box would come up saying I had to log in again. So I save the text from the post in case I lose it when I log in again, log in, and it's there, posted to the reply, that is just weird. Never ran into this one before o_O

and yes Cody, I never use to have to log in again when I clicked on "view this thread" in email notification, so I'm pretty sure there is something wrong with the site if that is happening to you as well, and it happens on 3 different browsers I've tried (Edge, Firefox and Chrome). Ok, I went to post this and I've been asked to log in again.

I have to log in with FF every time but I have no problem with Chrome. Since SoC is not a secure site, it might have something to do with security settings.

Does it log you out on any of the other things I mentioned, like when trying to reply to a post? That's actually a new one today I believe, don't recall it happening before, but I've replied to a lot more threads today than yesterday, it seems like it anyway.

FF only logs me out when I leave the forum and no other way. Chrome operates as normal.

It may be a Firefox setting. Seems like my FF just updated a couple of days ago so who knows what new "features" they installed.

I think I might have figured it out, but I'll keep hangin in here and see how it goes. Now I think it is my end, and the Chrome and Edge were fine because I never use them. I'll be back when I'm sure, or not ;)

I get logged on using Edge sometimes, not only here but other places as well, but I don't have that problem with Safari.

Well, so far so good Ken, and I think I cleared the cache, I know I did, but it didn't clear the cookies. That would atone for Edge or Chrome logging me out, unless I forgot a setting in those. I did remember to "save the login" on both of those, and made a bookmark/favorite of SOC so I could see if it held. My cookies were only taking up 300 some MB though, that sort of threw me.

@Denise Happyfeet -- you may already know this... but you can delete specific cookies by going into FF settings, Privacy & Security, Cookies & Site Data, Manage Data. Just search for the website (SeniorsOnly) and highlight then click on "Remove Selected." That will leave the rest of your cookies in place.

No, I didn't know that, so thank you much @Beth Gallagher. What I did, finally, was click on the "clear data" which said 350 something mb. I'll go in and look at seniorsonly.club to make sure because I spent most of my last 2 days on here, and I figure cup did runneth over ;) I will check specifically, to remove the cookies for SOC ;)
