Hi ALL, I hope I chose the right area, I'll trust the Mods to move my post if not and appreciate it! I have an old truck with a new, paint-job, well, last Summer I got it painted. I live in an apartment building and we have a hose, and electrical outlet we can use for washing a car/truck, but it's hard for me. I am hoping to find some recommends for a Power Washer, electric preferably, and I did read a DIY article I found, and think I need one that has a PSI (whatever that is) of 1000 -1500, and keep the Flow rate at 2 or under. That is all I know though, and need to buy off Amazon, go down to Walmart or Home Depot. Can someone give me a brand name I would be pretty safe with buying? Also, something I can keep in my apartment (we have an elevator) and something as light-weight, but effective, as possible. Any suggestions would be so appreciated, Denise
Why would you not just take it to a regular car wash, @Denise Happyfeet ? Another option if you need an actual power washer, would be to go to one of the equipment rentals and rent one for the day, and that way you can see how well you like it before spending a lot of money buying something that you have to try to keep stored in your apartment in between uses. If you decide that this is what actually works best, you might also look on your local Facebook market page and see what is for sale locally. There are usually some pretty good deals on marketplace.
Yvonne, I want to wash, rinse off my truck anytime I want. I also want my own pressure washer, plus, the one, carwash here in town is only working at times. Can I just have my question answered by anyone that might know of a good brand??
I remember using a pressure wash once when on vacation and it ripped the paint right off the steel wheels....

Definitive Guide to Pressure Washing Your Car I'm a car wash guy! The cartoon had the above link at the top. I did not read it, hoped it would be a help to you. I've heard horror stories about them removing paint, especially a repainted car. Be careful.
You probably need something about the size of a golf cart with two wheels. Cord and hose wrap up around it and hook to faucet and plug in and good to go. I have used something like this on an old gent's deck and porch, some years back. Stores easily in shed. Look at the FAQs in the link, for the right pressure and nozzle.
I have a gas powered pressure washer that I accidentally etched a little of my desk away. I'd be real careful using a pressure washer on my vehicle.
The pressure washer I have and use came with multiple nozzles that help you regulate/control the amount of water pressure you apply. I used it mostly to clean mud and grid off car wheels, the motorcycles and odd cleaning jobs around the house (e.g., doors, sidewalk, deck, etc.). These things usually come with instructions and you can get ancillary advice on various forums. They're very handy to have for cleaning; however, if you are washing something with a good finish/surface, choose lower pressure nozzles.
I've got one on the way @John Brunner and I ordered the SunJoe. I had recommends, several, and good reviews on it as well. It will be here tomorrow Looks a lot like yours however, it is a different brand. I know Stanley is a goodie Mine weighs 31 lbs but the wheels of course, and we have an elevator to use here so I can get it around pretty easily
If people see you carting that thing up & down the elevator, you just might be able to make a few bucks on the side. "Ms. Happyfeet? I believe I have a 2 o'clock appointment."
A little here and a little there ,slowly gets it done for us. We have a van to wash so we do it the old fashion way just alot slower.
