Me too. He could also be sick and in bed. That wouldn't be something a relative would mention on Facebook but Enough to keep you off your computer.
@Mari North , I thought I quoted the message I want to reply to you about but guess I didn't and don't feel like going back to do it. It was about hiding our identities. If you post a real picture on a forum, and someone does an image search, you can be found....not always, just depends. Ike didn't hide his real photo in his avatar, that's his pic and he also posted that diner so I really don't think He has an issue with his privacy, if he did he would have made his Facebook page only viewable to friends and family. I'm not messaging him though because I'm not comfortable doing it. If it was someone on here I'm closer to and know better, then I might message their family member but I barely know Ike except for his good morning posts and stories.
Yes, that's what I was saying, @Chrissy Page , and I'm glad you feel that way, too. I was *so* glad that you found him and there didn't seem to be a major problem with him. That was very good to hear. But in my mind, I'm exactly like you said and wouldn't message either. For people I feel I know better, sure... but beyond that, we're on the same page, yep. Back to your topic at hand, the major reason I got so concerned in the first place was that he'd said he had a really bad day the day before and "wouldn't go into the details" so I'm hoping he just needed to take some time off to heal from whatever it was.
Good idea, although some people have Facebook set so that only FB friends can PM them. I usually keep mine set that way.
I don't know how Ike has his set, I see that it says "send him a message" and I clicked on that and a window does pop up, but that's as far as I went.
The other possibility apart from lost internet connection, is his computer may have packed up, I can't remember what he had but I don't think he had a tablet or a backup device, and he may not be able to afford a repair or a new one.
No. I looked on his Facebook page everyday and there is no activity on his part and no terrible news on his family's pages...so hopefully a computer problem.
They do have internet service in a lot of Hospitals. But Ike may not have a laptop or tablet to take with him if he is in the hospital. I know something is not right here and I don't have a good feeling about it. Ike used the internet for connecting with people since from what he said he is pretty much home bound. I pray we hear from Ike soon.
I see nothing on Facebook or his name in any of the obits I searched. No mention of him being in the hospital from Family on Facebook. That doesn't mean much though because everybody is different in what they post. And I don't know how much his family has blocked from public view either. I'm still guessing, no computer or a long hospital stay that isn't mentioned on FB.
