Yesterday it had rained a bit overnight so my walking path was like glass in the morning. I carry some gravel in a bag for sliding problems. Scattered it about as I walked. Then it got really warm, 53 degrees and rained. Everything melted and flooded. I have some plastic flamingos next to my barn house. They looked very happy standing in water.
Ha. I stoked my coal fire about 24 hours ago, haven't touched it since, and it is 86 here in the kitchen. I will put some wood on it tonight so it doesn't go out. High of 48 tomorrow, 36 Tuesday.
22c and it’s still summer , I’ve had a jumper on all day cause it’s usually cooler here near the beach than the city where readings come from ( right in the city)
Yup! It’s been in the high 70’s during the day and in the 50’s at night for the last week and BANG, time to don the winter coat again tomorrow morning.
The snow that was on the ground several days ago is all gone this morning. Temps hit 60 yesterday and will be in the high 50s today. Rains slated for later today will help wash all that salt off the roads. Maybe we will get lucky and avoid those late March, early April snow/ice storms. It has happened.
Hit 70 F yesterday and now in the 50s and raining. Getting spring like but it cools again later in the week. Robins, blackbirds and doves are back.
