I just sift around through different websites and occasionally watch the nightly news on broadcast TV. (Except for CBS; that Nora O'Donell gives me the heebie-jeebies.)

I watch CNN once in a while but it's a little like the Onion, in that I don't believe any of the crap they say.

I've stopped watching television news altogether, and I don't get print media. I used to be a long-time Economist subscriber (and I do miss it) because it gave me a non-American worldview, and it touched on subjects I might not otherwise been aware of. But I sometimes ran across accuracy issues on subjects I was knowledgeable in (mostly 2nd Amendment stuff), and it made me angry and mistrustful of all else that I read.

I don't see how you keep up with all those online sources, Dwight.

    My morning online scanning is:
    Townhall
    DailyCaller
    Epoch Times
    American Thinker
    OANN
    Millennial Bridge
    Reason

I learn as much from the Comments sections as I do from the articles. In that regard, I also read threads in the political groups in a gun forum I'm on (over 4,000 members online right now), so I can see what's on the radar screens of others, and learn from the debates as positions get picked apart & defended. There are also state-specific groups where I read what folks in Virginia are talking about (politics and other stuff.)

Some of your sources are unknown to me and I will definitely check them out. I rarely read the comments because of the plethora of idiots who think they must inject their misspelled opinions.
I don't have TV and not because of the cost. The propaganda is for morons. I check out NBC and CBS to keep abreast of their absurdity.
I'm not familiar with The Economist but I'll check it out.
2nd amendment? Shotgun and 22 are not a problem but I can't find ammo for my revolver.

There are only a few comments worth the reading in many of them. American Thinker has weeded out a lot of the trolls because now you gotta be a paid member in order to comment. That was in response to organized attacks/inappropriate commentary trying to get it shut down by the nature of their postings (I'm not privy to details.) So there are not a lot of comments to their articles...a heavily commented one might get 10, while 3-4 would be typical.

Here’s a twist: I get some of my news from the Corvette forum. The membership is probably 95% conservative so the articles (and their comments) are pretty good. The handful of lib members are ridden pretty hard.

I also watch the nightly Steve Deace video podcast on Blaze TV. Their politics are right in line with mine, with a Christian slant. Very refreshing and addicting. If you stream you can get it free on Rumble.com.

I don't have cable so any MSM news come from posts on social media. Have news apps on smart tv and tablet. Follow American Thinker, Federalist, and others on social media and a real oldie is Lucianne, com

Kool. I'll check out both your sources. I hadn't heard of the Corvette forum or Steve Deace.

Mostly local talk radio but even though I hear it, I rarely listen to the talk part. About every half hour or so the news comes on via FOX, NBC or some such which what I listen to.
Basically, with few exceptions I do not like to indulge in opinion pieces because opinions are pretty much subjective and loaded with the broadcaster’s personal biases.

All that said, I do occasionally tune into Sky News and a couple of other YouTube broadcasters who I like more for entertainment purposes rather than for the edification of intellectual development.

Now, for good conversation and maybe even a healthy debate or two, I come right here to SoC. As one poster already wrote, we do indeed have some pretty well informed and intelligent folks here who have something to say so how could I dismiss such an opportunity?

Haha. I hadn't thought about it, but I'm pretty sure any muscle car forum is going to be primarily conservatives. The libs are on the Prius/Tesla forums, obsessing about climate change.

Zackly! And about how they drive past gas stations all the time and don't care about gas prices.

I posted that with my last electric bill, IN ONE MONTH, the cents per KWh jumped about 60-70%.

But virtue-signaling about "saving the planet" is all that matters.
