There seems to be no reason nor evidence to think the body develops a tolerance, to any basic nutrient, including vitamins, minerals, enzymes and niacin wherever that fits in.. Things that are not synthetic drugs that the body must deal with as toxins, but are healthy hopefully food source that the body naturally can use Just like the body has no reason to develop a tolerance to apples, watermelon, or carrots. ================================================================================================== https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2779993/ =============================================================================================== short version: The flush is a desired effect, or evidence of the fact it is working. "Tolerance" is inappropriate I think in terms of natural food source vitamins. 'Tolerance' is most often, I think, referring to negative effects or toxicity, not good effects and health. Also note, the body never develops a 'tolerance' for aspirin, not even for baby aspirin, which always causes internal (micro) bleeding even taking just one.. Likewise arsenic - no tolerance. (remember the old movie 'Arsenic and Old Lace' ... slow permanent poisoning using micro doses over a long period of time) And strangest of all, the three white poisons (foods) given to babies and adults since between wwI and wwII - they all still produce illness , sometimes in as little as a day or even one use. i.e. I guess 'tolerance' is developed, just like tolerance to cigarettes or cigarette smoke or alchol, but that doesn't make using or taking them good at all.
Taking niacin in large doses sis NOT a natural thing. Tolerance does seem to develop, or at least the flushing diminishes or goes away over time. If you then increase thee dose, the flush returns. I haven't tested aspirin, but I have seen tolerance develop with other NSAIDs, such as ibuprophen. People with chronic pain sometimes increase their dosages to levels that would be toxic to many people. There is also the possibility of getting "hooked" on the lack of pain--the name of the syndrome escapes me at the moment. I suspect that , like your belief that viruses don't exist or cause disease, you are wrong about this one as well.
My dad had his first heart event in 1978 and I began taking adult aspirin that day because I'd recently read about aspirin being good for heart events.....Aspirin has always been my pain medicine. To this day if I've got aches or pains I'll take adult aspirin even after 2 heart events.
Dr. says take D, B-12 and Calcium. I start out, then forget. Haphazard. The only thing I notice a difference in is C. But I forget to take that also. My mother took 1 full dose (325mg) aspirin every day after they started recommending it, because she refused to pay more for 81mg.
Taking any drug is not a natural thing, and is so far almost always harmful in the last 200 years. (pharmcy drugs). "Tolerance does seem to develop". So? No argument there. Most people seem to think drugs are helpful under direction of pharmakeia. Not. "Tolerance" of a drug, or smoking, or alcholol is often seen, but is not a good thing nor an indication of healing at all - more likely a sign of higher toxicity in the body, and many problems to come. Increasing dosages of pharmacy drugs for pain often may increase or cause the pain someone is attempting to treat. This is known to happen over time even if the dosage is not increased. Your suspicions so far , and the assumptions you posted, while most common (as promoted by pharmacy and those indebted or beholden to pharmacy) are not evidence of anything - merely reasons to look into things and try to be more correct, more accurate , over the next two years.
The results are in. I posted six months ago on this thread or somewhere that my vitamin D levels were low according to the test and that I would start taking Centrum Silver to see what it did. It worked. This is the result of my blood test last week...the before and after.
Do the results provide a "Recommended Range" for Vitamin D like all of the other stuff they test blood & urine for? I can't recall if I've ever been tested for a vitamin or a mineral.
Vitamin D has become a standard vitamin to test for in the past few years. Minimum recommended is 30 ng/mL, but many practitioners recommend 50 to 100 ng/mL. Very few recommend values higher than that, but I few do.
Yes, it is or seems complicated to most people, so they often keep going on the toxic road with everyone else around them. Baby steps , to get set free from toxicology - pharmacy - ama - doctors , and so on. Baby steps - like any subject, a little at a time, and likely with at least one leap of faith to believe the truth finally, instead of the lies perpetrated by society/medical/ government/ schools/ television every day.
