There is a difference between helping the needy and providing everything for the lazy 'cause they vote your way. We will never have 99% employment unless you do away with virtually all the welfare. It is just too easy to stay home. We don't need to provide cell phones and cable tv to people because they don't want to work at a job that they believe is beneath them.

So who decides if any particular person is a deserving needy one or just too lazy to work? You're pretty hard on the poor, Don.

They'd be the ones who spend more time and effort making demands than they spend looking for work.

My comment I thought was still relevant to the situation regarding Ukraine and the conflict, but I guess it has gotten dragged into a welfare argument. I have dealt with the poor, and the not-so-poor but on welfare and food stamps and Medicaid. I assume you realize that you don't have to be poor, sick, or disabled to be on Medicaid, and the Medicaid folks get far better care and treatment than do Medicare people who have paid for it all their working lives. Perhaps you are working from a theoretical standpoint and not from a life experience.

All of the above is true, but I still go by the old honorable life of not allowing tyrants and evil men slaughter innocents and not do something to stop it. Personally I think we should have supplied them with Tanks and Planes and what ever they needed to win and crush half the tyrants army. It will take 10 to 15 years for their country to be livable again. I think the cost of equipment is a heck of a lot cheaper than someone's son or daughter. If you don't destroy the tyrant he will eventually cause a real world war alone with his side kick china. You fight the enemy on his own territory not here in America, and by air it could be here in less than 15 minutes. But hey what do I know... right ? Lately I think about my Mother and Brother dying two years ago, they left this world not aware of just how bad it was other than having the trash we have in our government. You should hear me early mornings sitting here watching cable fox and just cussing at the top of my lungs that half wit in our white house. He is destroying our country and in 10 years you will not find any Americans.

Good question. Seems the old saying " all's fair in love and war " is correct ,sad as that is.

Thomas [ Thomas was one of my brothers name]. I respectfully disagree about the war in Ukraine, you need to read some of the history where this same kind of thing happened and cost millions of Russian lives, 'The Bolshevic's'.
America is losing 10 times more lives to cartels, drugs and violence than Ukraine.
IMO it is not our concern. I see a set up by the world leaders to kill off more Europeans and Americans in general.

I just read a currency evaluation. Largely due to the sanctions against Russia, the ruble is the best-performing major currency in the world in March. OOPS! That is the exact opposite of what was planned by the Elite. I think it up to 80 or 90 to the dollar on world markets, perhaps the highest (lowest) it has ever been.

Armed Bolsheviks seized the Winter Palace in Petrograd—now St. Petersburg—100 years ago this week and arrested ministers of Russia’s provisional government. They set in motion a chain of events that would kill millions and inflict a near-fatal wound on Western civilization.

The revolutionaries’ capture of train stations, post offices and telegraphs took place as the city slept and resembled a changing of the guard. But when residents of the Russian capital awoke, they found they were living in a different universe.

At the expense of the dollar and the US economy. How are those sanctions working out, Joe? Just as your controllers planned, I'm sure.

NATO policing the world killing many in several non-USA allied nations, some say this only weakens America and sets it up for war with China.
