Sometimes it's like watching an accident. You just can't look away even though you know it's gonna be ugly.
We recently came upon the scene of an accident. Traffic was moving slowly so I couldn't help but look. There was a woman lying on her back in the middle of the road with medical personal leaning over her. After I looked, I wished I hadn't.
I certainly am not a prolific poster. There are several reasons for this which I'll not bore anyone with. However, I do not hit that ignore button. I simply move on. What I do dislike is when someone presumptuously decides he/she can tell me what I am thinking or feeling from a response I may have made. As for political statements, well, I can ponder both sides of a debate and sometimes I find that my original thought on a particular topic in that arena needed revising. I am open minded as all Americans should be.
What we need here is some Yellow Dog Democrats who are willing to listen to both sides of a debate and become more erudite.
I think we should all listen to both sides, try not to use juvenile insults and explain our position if asked. I once asked a different teacher friend exactly why she wanted a particular governor candidate and she never got around to tell me. We like each other in general and I think she did not want to alienate me but I really wanted to know. Of course she is a tiny little thing and this was back when I could have lifted her over my head and thrown her out the barn door. People keep telling me stories about myself.....
No post where in the last 2 weeks? Have you browsed the New Posts section? How about the Recent Posts section?
That throws me too. Maybe she hit the ignore button around 35 or so times and we’re all on ignore. I’m almost sure that I am.
lol - according to my content info, I've post about 20 times in the past 2 weeks. I'm honored to be ignored.
Well, that clears it up and also speaks well for the forum men. None of them appeared in the red light alerts. Most have gone to rodeo
I don't know what Red Alerts are? Do you mean your email notifications? I'm not sure which of the 2 forum styles you're using, Sylvia. The easiest thing to do is to look at the top banner for "New Posts" and click on it. When you are on the New Posts page, you can then click on "Recent Posts" which lists other recent comments. Also, there are two ways to get email notifications when someone has posted a comment on a thread: 1-Set your profile to Receive Notifications on any thread you have made a comment on (Automatically Watch) 2-Click on Watch Thread in that comments if you've not posted there but still wish to receive notifications.
