I wrote a serious anti-abortion piece for another website and linked 3 excellent videos that should sway anybody on the fence with this issue. Message me if you're interested, but I expect not because old folks like us on this site usually already have our views and values entrenched. However, I'd like to offer a perspective that does provide some potential compromising reconciliation among everyone here. Others have touched on some of my points, but let me make my case in a complete manner.

I recognize that many people don't respect the Biblical objections to abortion nor understand the secular, biological, emotional reasons to oppose it, but here are other reasons to oppose the Roe vs Wade Supreme Court decision of 1973.

First, the 1973 decision was a bad, liberal, constructionist decision of interpreting the due process clause of the 14th Amendment. It read something into the U.S.Constitution that's simply not there.

Second, while protecting women's rights to exercise control over their own lives and bodies, it completely deprived the unborn babies' lives of their right to life and liberty. In other words, the mothers' convenience trumped the babies' very existence. This is an atrocity of justice between values.

Third, the issue of categorizing the killing of human babies as a legal procedure versus an unjustifiable homicide should be a state issue - like other physical crimes against persons. Right now, states have a variety of death penalty, 3 strike, and other types of laws representing the strict or lenient views of their constituents. Consistency would suggest that abortion should fall in the same category of such Penal Code laws.

Fourth, abortion is a moral issue affected by differing religious values. The founding fathers, specifically in writing, intended the federal government to stay out of state religious matters. In fact, the states continued to have state sponsored churches for some time. Such was the case until 1947, when the U.S. Supreme Court for the first time decided that federal law overrules state law in religious matters. That Everson vs Board of Education case became the first of 16 Supreme Court cases that reshaped America's Christian heritage, essentially wiping out all states' rights in upholding Christian beliefs and values. The U.S. Supreme Court has betrayed our founding fathers by usurping power over the states in religious matters that should be allowed to vary in accordance with its constituents. It's unreasonable to expect liberal California to have the same criminal laws as Alabama, and our country was designed to allow for such differences.

In short, even if you support abortion, you should question the Roe vs Wade court case that dictates objectionable religious or moral values upon an entire nation. Although I'd personally like to see the killing of human fetuses and babies everywhere throughout the U.S. prohibited, I'd suggest that the people of each state should be allowed to make that decision. Would that not be a compromising, rational solution to the divisive issue?

I imagine it was a staffer from one of the "3" who leaked it, the goal being to bring pressure on the "6" to change their decisions before it became official.

It is apparently leaked from a draft written in February by Justice Alito, and they waited until the timing was right for them to leak the information, from what I have been reading.
I get Michael Knight’s North Star Newsletter (he is a writer from western Washington ), and he has information to that effect in the email newsletter i got this morning.

One very interesting point that he makes is about why this is happening right now. The abortion issue is a huge issue, and something that will certainly cause riots if Roe vs. Wade does get overturned, and you can guarantee that the liberals will be pushing out Antifa, BLM, and any other rioters that they can find to put this in headline news and keep it going .

The 2,000 Mules movie by Dinesh D’Souza just came out, and it pretty well explains about the fake votes being put into mailboxes by “election mules” (for want of a better term), and the left knows that they will need something really big to divert people from paying attention to the stolen election. Even the war in Ukraine has lost some of its edge by this point, newswise, so something else is going to be necessary to sidetrack people from looking at the election information.

I think this whole abortion issue is the reason the white race is slowly disappearing. Just stop a moment and take a look around us. We have already lost the elections before we even go to the polls.

    Ken

If R v W is overturned the Republicans never again will get the White House.
The right to interrupt a pregnancy is so engraved in the minds of most women it will be perceived as a return to the times when women didn't have the right to vote.

Given relative birth rates, abortion is picking at the fringes. I'd worry more about The Vax in that regard than I would abortion.

And I disagree with the contrived picture of the cliche Democrat voter. That whole "You ain't xxxx if you don't vote Democrat" is not an assessment of inclinations, it is manipulation and propaganda meant to browbeat, control, drive behaviour, and provide cover to stolen elections by making us assume that Democrat victories are the result of voter demographics.

This leak was well planned, they already had the signs painted before daylight this morning in DC. People like Schumer are on the edge of breaking the law trying to stir up violence and talking about insurrection because he don't like what the high court has decided. More than half of the democrats in the congress need to be charged for insurrection instructing people to go out and commit violence and get into peoples faces. The real win will be after mid terms take them down to the core, until then watch the cities burn again but hopefully they will be the same bunkers where all the trash already live.
