Wrong, Faye! Just ask the Wright brothers if they play rodeo? Even better, ask Charmayne if she was playing rodeo during the years she won so much money, saddles, buckles and is even in the Guinness Book of World Records. Many rodeo folks make a darn good living in rodeo!
I deleted my post because you fail to have a sense of humor and totally misread my post. It wasn't directed at you and in no way indicated that many don't make big money and in some cases get rich from rodeo. Saying play rodeo is like saying play football and many football pros make millions per game. Rodeo is a sport and a full-time job for many, but it is still playing a game as is any competition. Just like poker pros make millions PLAYING poker. My response to Lon was in jest.
Seems to me you have a hard time getting along with folks that spent most of their lives around livestock.
Not really. Wife and I met a ranch foreman at a USTRC Roping in Pueblo, CO in 2002. Met his wife and two small kids also. He told us how many acres the ranch was, etc.. We were also at a local car show and met a couple that has a small ranch and talked to them for awhile. Acres, breed of cattle, etc.. Now, obviously, when we get around people that know rodeo, like at the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame Induction we went to this past July, we will talk with them a whole lot.
Talk is cheap. I often give up after finding the person talking to me is intent on hoodwinking me. I know, because I am good at it myself! Frank
He became very sick and was felt like he was on his way out, so we have not heard from him since Oct or Nov. except from one email, was last i know of.
