I just bought a new Ukulele at a music store, because guitars are now impossible to chord with my left hand, which is now crippled with Arthritis. after playing guitar for 67 years.

With the Uke, I can now play 3 basic chords, which will allow me to accompany melodies to many songs. It's like trying the guitar for the first time back in 1955!

I tried to teach my self guitar but I couldn't even get past tuning it. I'm left handed too so maybe my failure was inevitable.

Great to hear you have something to do music on. Did you get a baritone uke? I find them easier to play because of the larger fingerboard and they have a more pleasing sound to my ears. Good to see you posting.

So this egotistical native chief was so in love with "position" he developed a fetish for thrones. He would squander the tribe's meager funds buying royal chairs from all around the world, even though they were horribly out of place in his thatched abode. He stuffed them in every square inch of the place, even stacking them on the roof, until one day the whole structure came crashing down, killing him.

The moral of the story: People who live in grass houses shouldn't stow thrones.

Regarding ukes: I used to play ukulele. One year I went trick-or-treating as Tiny Tim.

    Hey Faye.....

I'm glad you're here to read my post!

I tried the Baritone uke first, but my left hand was too cramped to span the strings and frets which are spaced too far apart, so I bought a Concert-size uke, which requires less stretch for my "non-stretchable" fingers.

I'm doin' OK with chords in "C".

WENT BACK TO THE BARITONE UKULELE!

MY FINGERS ARE NOW MORE FLEXIBLE AFTER ARTHRITIS THERAPY, SO NOW I'M BACK TO THE BARITONE UKE, WHICH LOOKS, FEELS, AND SOUNDS GREAT!

My daughter has a ukulele that she bought for herself just for fun. It seemed to me that it could not extract beautiful sounds, but it turned out that the ukulele sounds very pleasant. Congratulations on your purchase

First time I heard this song was at a little Tiki bar in south Florida performed by an Islander on a Uke. I liked the song ever since.

Hubby is a great guitar player, and he has played for over 55 years.
