Buckle bunny. :D (Apparently similar to that common species, the Lot Lizard.)

The quarreling is getting a little out of hand. Please stop. Having helped to found one PRCA Rodeo and about twenty years of covering two different rodeos, I've probably got as much rodeo time in as either of you, and I'm from Michigan, and have fallen off of every horse I've ever tried to ride.

Consider it done as far as I am involved. I apologize for ever posting on this thread where the opening post was bait meant to promote an agenda.

And all this time I thought the pointed toes on my boots were for when I get a cockroach cornered I could step on it easier.

I do not think that Cody meant this thread to be seen as baiting , only as an expression about how he and Wife perceive the theme of the fair to not be accurate, since they do not see many people dressed in this kind of western attire. They still intend to go to the fair and enjoy it, just like they did last year, as far as I can see.

We all share our own thoughts and opinions, and while some people do share things to try and bait other people to respond, I really do not think that was the case here.
I have never seen Cody ever try to intentionally hurt or belittle another person; just sometimes, he takes things very literally, and misunderstands what people are saying about his posts.

I hear some guys like Big Lots Lizards.

"Buckle Bunny" sounds like something you'd hear on an elementary school playground. But I always like to add to my knowledge base. You never know when it might come up in conversation, and I get to be conversant in loose women who lie about owning horses so men will have sex with them. (I'm still not understanding that requirement.)

I think it is the women who seek men with horses although that is just in my experience. They can't afford a horse and always wanted one.

I did wonder about that with all the attention the post got. Even he commented.

When my older sister was in high school, she worked at a jewelry store that was owned by "old money" people who lived out in fox hunting horse country. This was in the 60s. They had a store in the country, and they had the one my sister worked out not far from DC (this is in Virginia.) They also had a smaller farm in that suburban location (people today would swear I'm lying, since it's all city now.)

Anyway, when I was about 11 or so, I went over there and they put me on a horse. It was the one and only time I've been on a horse. Well, they had show horses that were jumpers, if that's what they're called. So they put me on the horse, and he did his thing with me on his back. I did not enjoy it.

Now I'm back in a rural area, and there are lots of horse farms around me. In fact, the adjoining property (almost 300 acres) was a mustang rescue for the longest time. I've yet to seek out the experience.

Belittle: make (someone or something) seem unimportant:

He has belittled several here on many posts when they disagree with him with his classic put downs, "Well you don't know anything about rodeo," "How many buckles have you won?" "Well, you don't know rodeo like me and my wife," "How many rodeo stars do you know?" "You don't have a membership in the PRCA so you don't know the stars like we do," "How many stock contractors have you worked for?" I find him as a very judgemental person against anyone that doesn't conform to his stereotypical ideas and very arrogant. When anyone asks a question meant to make another look inferior and themselves superior, then that is belittling.

Wow, Faye, now you're picking on Yvonne!

Actually, Faye, I wasn't belittling anyone by asking direct questions concerning professional rodeo. And, I wasn't being arrogant either. All of the questions I asked were logical questions. Now, if you take those questions differently than I meant them, I can't help that.

Shirley and Bobby both liked Yvonne's reply (#81). So, they completely understood what she was saying.

Your direct questions to individuals concerning rodeo, are belittling because you already think you know the answer which indicates their knowledge or accomplishments are lesser than yours. Why does it matter how many rodeo buckles I or anyone else have won?

If the conversation was void of brags and just talking about past experiences and I had stories about riding or participating in rodeo and you inquired if I had ever won a buckle that is one thing, but when you brag about winning a buckle and there is a disagreement on whatever the issue and then you asked, "Well how many PRCA rodeo buckles have you won," that becomes belittling because you do it to show your superior accomplishments.

That is all I am saying. Why does it matter what post-Bobby or Shirley liked? This isn't a contest for me, just sharing and reminiscing and I have tried to get you to see things from another perspective as have many others, and you just dismiss others' experiences and ideas. I don't want to continue discussing this anymore because you fail to grasp what so many are telling you. I am trying to be kind and get you to just reflect and see how you come off to others. Consider yourself the winner and carry on.

Seriously Cody? How am I picking on Yvonne? Am I not allowed to respectfully voice why I find your hostile questioning belittling? How is discussing an opposing viewpoint picking on someone?
