Serious Housing Shortage

We have found out just how serious the "housing shortage" is, whether it's apartments or house sales.

Were planning a weekend trip to Sheridan, Wyoming to check out the area for a possible move there. We got a Visitors & Relocation Guide from the Chamber of Commerce there, but have been told, by them, that Sheridan has a major housing shortage in apartments and house sales.

We can only rent an apartment, and it would be very nice to have a 2-bedroom/2-bath again, with an enclosed garage. When we looked online in Sheridan, we only found two apartments for rent. So, guess we will have to go on a Waiting List. We want our move to be next summer.

We never gave it a thought about a "housing shortage" when thinking about Sheridan. For now, we have cancelled our trip up there. No need to spend the money on a rental car, hotel and food, for a visit if we have no place to live when/if we move up there.

Guess we are fortunate we've never been on a Waiting List to get an apartment.

That's fine, but our plan to move isn't until next June/July. Even if we put our name down on a Waiting List, if an apartment comes up before then, we can't move. And, we sure aren't going to rent an apartment, pay it monthly and not live there. Nope, that isn't going to happen. Definitely not that "well off".

 

Well, that could be ok to say, but it definitely isn't going to happen! And, there are those organizations that will stop that from happening. In fact, South America immigration is so high that, when calling a business about something, a recording will say "press this for English or press this for Spanish".

Even 50 years ago much of America said "the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer", and most seemed to go along with the greed of capitalism, seeing #1 get well-to-do before anyone or anything that might cause a loss...

 

All the first world nations are systematically being replaced by third world immigrants. Freedom and liberty are being replaced by serfdom and servants.

 

You do realize that Capitalism and 'greed' is what gives you the resources to sit online and complain about it.
And once that is gone so will those rights. Socialist nations are targets for enslavement and easy to conquer.
If not for greedy capitalist with big weapons most of Europe and, Scandinavia would have been enslaved or worse.

Actual no. Complain? No. Warn. The evil of democracy and capitalism, greed, shell-fish-ness, "self-centered", is well documented and known by those set free from it all, but it is very very very deceptive to those still trapped and still subject to the prince of the air.

 

I think your confusing republic democracy and capitalism with an oligarchy which this was not one until this last 50 or 100 years.
We were warned by Eisenhower and again by President Kennedy about the military industrial complex, which send our military off to illegal wars. God bless these men and women who are sometimes used by this system.
We the citizens should do more to make sure they don't risk life and limb for profit. I love our troops ,my son was one. But I don't have to agree with their commander in chief or top brass.
Our military moral is at its lowest point in our history now. All I do is play armchair comrade and vent and I'm sure soon that will get me in trouble.

 

Maybe alternative living, I liked this for our jon boat but hubby said 'have a nice time'.

Or you could do this,this is what we prepare if private property becomes illegal and yes they are talking about it too now although maybe not in our lifetime but still who knows.
