I'm still upset and shakey. 3 foreign women stopped me on aisle talking about dish liquid, while they surrounded me and got my attention someone stole my billfold. I went to freezer section, and they came there we were talking, and I realized something wasn't right. They could barely speak English and I noticed one acting kinda too freindly,so I looked and saw my pocketbook was unzipped, which it is always zipped close.
I can be loud if I have to be, so I loudly ask who stole my wallet? All opened their small purses, so I knew then they had a damn mule who took off with it. So I went up to the info counter and told them my wallet was gone. They come up with me and I told them I think one of you got it and nobody is leaving till its returned, by now people are crowding around. I said call the police in less than 2 minutes a cashier said my billfold was found in the floor where I dropped! So now I'm just mean ol woman racist accusing these wonderful foreigners of stealing. Meantime the manager is in his office looking on cameras to see which one took it. Of course, he comes back and said camera on ice cream aisle isn't working, and dish soap didn't show any 3 women.
I said of course their mule returned the damn thing unless you think my billfold unzipped my pocketbook and jumped out onto the floor.:rolleyes:.

Watch your back, your chest, your head, feet and everydamn thing.

Yep I’m very wary of people wearing big scarfs ….and righty so I don’t give a dam what nationality they are
but we are seeing more and more dressed in sloppy loose usually black clothing.
    @Marie Mallery

You sound very shook up by the experience ..hugs Marie

My friend was working with a lady in a op shop ( friend had run it for years) this lady threw her scarf over the till drawer each time she open it ….on any occasions after closing time they found less money than the original float in the till, despite knowing they had some items.

I’ve seen it happening in Costco many times especially in-the clothing sections, it’s easy to tuck clothing under a big scarf / sloppy clothing. ..seen it right before my eyes ..it shocks me how brazen they are.

Im not aware of purse snatching / sneaking but Im sure it happens, years ago there was always a warning attached to any overseas travel due to bump and steal wallets / purses now it’s be wary of card scanning theft
that happens in Australia as well.

I used to shop at a smaller shopping centre in Adelaide for any homewares I wanted from a shop called Harris Scarfe as well as a Big W variety stores for my cloths washing detergent …..now I won’t go anywhere near the shopping centre as it has very bad reputation of bag snatches and attacks on seniors withdrawing $$ from ATM machines ( even machine located inside the building) 99% of the time it’s a certain race committing the crimes

It was bad what happened but even worse how woke many people are now. Especially a couple of the store employees. I surprised they didn't give them a coupon for free food.

People just be careful and always watch out for people that are too nice and friendly.

I was in a crowd at the mall once and when I had extracted myself, every darned zipper on my purse was open...all of them. Thank goodness, my wallet was buried in the bottom of my purse. Somebody was fast and very talented at pickpocketing.....just not quite talented enough....

My seems like we have many criminals from here and abroad.
I always put mine in bottom of my pocketbook too under brush, mints, etc. I always put anything I'm going to need like glasses, comb on the side pocket.
I bet I'll be less friendly and more watchful from now on.
I'm glad I stood up to them crooks and got my wallet back. I was madder than hell and wanted the police then all of a sudden, my walking, unzippering magic wallet came back to me.

One of the woke toons at the counter told the three criminals" I can check yall out over here" I said there not going no damn where and call the law. Thats when the magic wallet was turned in about 2 minutes later.

I'm also no longer going to bring my pocketbook with me inside a store. I'll put it in one of the compartments in the van. We were worried about loading our groceries in the parking lot too. We kept looking around. It would not have been a good time for some first time thug to try something, I can tell ya that!

Strange how it your wallet magically appeared ….maybe it grew legs and jumped out of your handbag CDE4E71A-DCA4-4067-952A-52D5B5E0E451.gif

it’s likely they were already on parole for doing the exact same thing and didn’t want to police involved
    Take care @Marie Mallery

You need to check with the store manager because most likely the isles are all camera monitored if this was a big chain store. You might possibly get a good photo of the thieves for the police to watch for.

Wonder how many other victims were robbed that day? I bet most would have just said " oh,no my wallets gone" amd left, too many are afraid of being attacked by the WOKE to ask questions, yesterday didn't start out that good to begin for me, hubby and I had an argument on the way to the store, so I was ready for bear.

I already ask manager to check cameras, or he said he would 'forgot'. I don't think he was honest with me.

Simply ask the local police have a detective take a look at that days video. They can't refuse because a felony was committed and they can't lie about it or they could be held responsible for with holding evidence.

Police won't get involved in this since the wallet was found. If they did review the video and could see it was stolen, they would still not do anything as a charge of attempted theft would be dismissed as being nothing.

I have made many older ladies aware that while waiting in the Pharmacy line at the grocery store, they should not have their purses in the cart or on the side of the aisle where shoppers pass. I have suggested they leave their purses locked in their cars and carry only a credit card and ID in their cell phone case. Always have your cell in a secure case. Never put down your cell unless you have a tight deep front pocket (my warm weather security) or wearing a jacket with an inside pocket for it (my cool weather security).

I am surprised that how many older women do not realize that these theft gangs do exist and prowl chain stores daily. I don't like anyone crowding near me and if someone does it, I back up and watch them. I usually say something loudly and sometimes back up and video them.

Another scam around here is for a guy on a bike to race out in front of you as you enter a parking lot at a big store. They then confront you about how you almost killed them and they are calling the police because you broke the right a way law. They will not report you if you give them $100 cash. They will wait while you go to the ATM at the store if you don't have the cash. I have the local police on speed dial and I say, "I am dialing the police now." When I start giving dispatch their description, they hop on their bike and take off.

I have had this happen twice. They look for women by themselves.

I know two older ladies that gave them the $100 cash hoping to not lose their driver's license.

Atlanta Ga. another old woman beaten, and ATM card took. Told if she gave wrong number they would come back and kill her. This is happening a lot around the nation.
