I have a peach tree IN WISCONSIN that had 6 peaches on it, it's first bearing year. I have watched from the flowers till today from afar (out my kitchen window) to see when to check for ripeness. Today, was the day.Peak!:)
I went out and found the reason they were trying to ripen was that wasps were drilling holes in them and half of each was holey and brown.:(

Pit: They moved the Cowboy Breakfast from the park, with outdoor grilling into the boring community center. They made it donation only instead of the $5 per person charge and the lines were long. Instead of outdoor cooking cowboy style, it was made indoors cafeteria greasy spoon style. It resembled a community soup line. A wonderful idea just like a free Thanksgiving dinner, but why replace the fair opening day, old west style, once-a-year, cowboy breakfast in the park with an urban style free meal? I never heard one person complain about paying $5 for all you can eat. Sad to see this event that has gone on for 100 years come to an end.

Peak: Lacking the wonderful smells of outdoor cooking and not being anything that resembled a "Cowboy" breakfast, I walked on by.

PIT-- my daughter decided last week we should have a garage sale to thin out the house a little bit.
I went to the town hall for the permit earlier this week so it's set for this weekend.
All morning my daughter's husband has been carrying stuff out of the house, to waiting tables that was set up earlier today, my daughter has been placing this stuff on the tables. With 3 kids she has tons of out grown kids cloths and toys that are no longer needed.
I have been putting stuff together to sell also, I have a few boxes of baseball cards, I filled a tray of DVD's and CD's.
Between the basement, the barn and the garage, I have tons of stuff to sell, including about 1,000 vinyl albums, audio equipment, old Nintendo game systems, TRS-80 Radio Shack computer, we'll get it ready for the next garage sale. unfortunately I have to wait for my daughter and her husband to help carry stuff my back won't allow me to do it.
The good thing is after it's over Sunday we will be packing what's left and donating it.
This is torture for me because I can't help much.

PEAK-- the house will be a little lighter, and that's a good thing.

Pit: We noticed yesterday evening, that the young girl that lives above us, has had a Pagan/Satan symbol (circled Star) put on the rear side window of her SUV and underneath the symbol, three 6's in Roman Numerals, which is the numbers of Anti-Christ.

Peak: We are being constantly told by older people here, that we will love Wyoming, specifically, Sheridan. So, next month, a 5-day trip up there.

Peak: Youngest son and DIL dropped by this afternoon and spent a few hours. It was so nice to see them and to get to visit a while.

Pit: Hubby's sister was trimming branches, fell off the ladder and broke her arm. He was headed over to play dominoes at her house tonight but the game was called on account of ER visit.

Do they play regular dominos or Texas 42? Sorry to hear about the sis-in-law. Working off ladders is not a good idea in our advanced years. She is lucky just to have a broken arm.

Our pears are trying to grow here now, but the birds try to get them soon as they ripen, so we're trying to watch them this year.

The Pit.. since 2015 I have been making some simple games with a specific software or game engine and I always had trouble with players or vehicles seeing thru solid objects. Peak.. I finally got some good information from another user explaining how to stop my objects from seeing thru or shooting thru solid objects. It was so simple it actually makes me feel stupid. I've spent weeks trying to stop that from happening so I could move on to the game outline that I had made. I'll be busy now for some time finishing up this latest little game. I only make simple 2d games but with a lot of good graphics and enough eye candy to make it fun. I remember the old dos games I spent a fortune for 35 years ago. I had one floppy drive and all the games had to be inserted to play. The graphics was terrible but the game play itself made or broke the game, and there were some great early dos games that I played for years. Now I am able to build games that are so far ahead of those early all hand coded games.

I lived in Nevada where my Brother was living on 5 acres that was all fruit trees and pine trees. The old man that owned it lived Las Vegas and was really happen to find my Brother to live there and keep the weeds down and the water going. He had to pay nothing and lived there for free for 11 years. So there were tons of apricot trees, apple trees, even one fig tree, and a bunch of almond trees. there was this one little small black plum tree that had 4 little plums almost ripe to pick and I had been watching those for a month when I finally decided to grab them before they were gone. I came home from work and went out to the back of the 5 acres and I found four pits laying under the plum tree. The ravens had devoured my beautiful Plums ;0( There were so many apricots the birds were just skipping from one to the other. There was also a whole little section of grapes on the front of the property. When the old man died a Mexican guy living in Las Vegas came out and bought the place for 50 thousand dollars cash money. He was a framing contractor in Vegas and had no workers but non English speaking people. Don't ask if he paid employee tax or federal taxes, I know this to be true because they were working on that property so we knew what was taking place. He never sold the place or lived on it and allowed all the fruit to die and the pines to become stunted due to lack of enough watering.

My beef usually is that the birds take a few bites out of each apple or pear and move to the next. Or the squirrels. Might use bird netting on the small trees next year. Although, I have a patio peach which the chipmunks got even on my deck!

Here in Florida Turkey Figs do ok ,so far this year they have produced a few at a time. Right now they are full of green figs that will ripen in a week or so a couple at a time. We get about 3 at a time off them. Last year we got more off at a time than now.

For years I nursed along a turkey fig that only got three figs a year! I had to winter it over indoors. I finally killed it in frustration.
