I was very active on a residence council as the Activities Director in my early 20s. I wasn't a registered voter at the time. Well, the Council elected to have an event for people to register to vote and my duty called me into action. A local news station covered the event and guess who was the first to register to vote on television.
Yes on the nightly news …..about 20. Years ago channel 9 came to the venue (where I was having fun line dancing) The TV was filming a segment for a program that promoted South Aust , it’s no longer on and can’t remember at this stage what it was called. Dancers were NOT told the film crew would be coming It was also on the nightly news at 5 and 6 pm . For some reason the camera man kept focusing on me and my foot work ( I still have the short segment on a dvd )
