I used to worry about getting old.

No need to worry about that anymore.....the train has pulled into the station.

Absolutely. I'll be 80 years old in March, my husband died unexpectedly this past June and I feel lost. I'm also trying to figure out if I should move but don't know where to go (I guess you could add that to the list.)

Welcome to the SOC Forum, Alice. Lots of us have found virtual companionship here.

We have an Introductions forum here where you can create a thread to introduce yourself, and where you can read the introductions of others to get to know them. It's certainly not a requirement, but it's nice to know who the new arrival to the party is.

I am a "Greeter" here, as is @Yvonne Smith. @Ken Anderson owns the forum. We can help you navigate the forum or answer any questions that may arise, although everyone here is extremely helpful, so none of us is ever lacking support.

    Have a good time!

@Alice Williams . Hugs to you.
I lost a husband and the best advice I got was to not do anything for at least a year. That was when I was young. I think that we are older now, and we should wait till the dust settles to make big decisions, however long that takes, if we can. If you are comfortable, and can afford to stay where you are, do it.
You can flip a coin (as my daughter does to make decisions) or make a list of pros and cons and chew on them a while.
Or, of course, you can always pour yourself a cup of coffee and pull up a chair with us;)
