At first, I was going to say the 1918 house we are moving into come December. But my grandmothers house in Missouri would have been ideal for us. I still remember every room and lay out of that house. Large, very large front porch also. Now Iam feeling all nostalgic ;)

At one time, I would have wished for a huge home with multiple floors, but that's no longer the case. What I would like would be a more reasonably-sized log cabin which, by itself, might even be doable. However, since I'm not likely to get younger, I'd like it to be on a least a few acres of wooded property in or near a town large enough to have a hospital and some other amenities, such as a grocery store. Millinocket would fit the bill, and there is a property here that would be a good setting, on the side of a hill pretty much in the center of town, but I couldn't afford the property.

Thank you Mary and Yvonne. It is in need of outside paint terribly, but any improves you make city goes way upon on taxes. At some point it will have to be done.

I'd love to have a cute little Victorian with lots of "gingerbread" and have enough money to pay someone else to do all the painting care that would take.

I've always wanted a big victorian house with a huge foyer. The only difference now is I would like one with an elevator!

Either that or an English tudor.

If traveling was not a problem for me, I would get on plane to Pittsburg and take a real-time tour of Fallingwater. But travel is out of the question, so I have to settle for the best online virtual tour available. The foundation that currently runs the real-time tours of Fallingwater did not allow taking photos in the house until recently. At last I found a video that does show photos of every room inside the house. If interested, here is the link:

The room-by-room coverage starts at 5:20.

The top house looks like the historical home on Heights Blvd Houston Tx. If it is I have been inside that one in 1963 when there was an open house as it was for sale. The people that I went with had a daughter named Shirley Klitch, her Father drove a cookie delivery truck and he and his wife both had a new Chevrolet Bellaire. Shirley had a Brother who was in the Air Force.

I really don't need a house, but if I did have huge sums of money I would build me one of those domed hurricane proof homes and build it in Galveston Tx so I could get up every morning until I die and have my coffee while smelling that clean Gulf air. All the while remembering all my family who are gone and all of us would spend all day Saturday on the beach with blankets stretched between our cars to keep the old people out of the sun and stay shaded. There were little Beer Joints all along the Beach and no restrictions on cars. 50 Years ago there were still cars from that era half buried in the sand which people had just walked away from when the tide got them.

If not having to worry about money I would buy the house we are living in now and do a little renovation, well a lot of renovation 20 years ago. I fell in love with this house just looking at it before the walk through. The owner still lived here and all I saw was what I wanted to do once we moved in. :D

    Good afternoon to all-
If I could live in any house... Well, it would be about 30 feet long and it would draft about five feet of water. It would be either a sloop or a cutter rig, and it would be rigged to be sailed by a single person. It would have a certain level of solar power, and it would have a wind generator on the stern.

That's it. a sailboat of a certain size.

you all be safe and keep well- Ed
