I think that some people like having their picture as an avatar, and some people do not, but either way, when I see their avatar, that is how I recognize that person. When someone completely removes their avatar, it is like they no longer want to be friends with everyone on the forum, and for some reason, this seems to be one of the first steps that some people take when they decide to leave the forum, even when they just get angry about something. To me, it is like a person turning their back on you , because they no longer show the rest of us their “face” (whether an actual face or just a picture that represents them).
<< Well, since I quit dyeing my hair I decided to use an Old Gray Mare photo. This was last year during chemo; the hair is a wig but is about that color and length now.
I am a bit stunned that our girl @Beth Gallagher is reviving an old Hal the Scowl thread and especially one asking for a current photo for our avatar. No excuses @Hedi Mitchell, just put it back in a ponytail. The thing is the ones we have up as we post here may be changed, so a review of this thread would be confusing. Here is my current look, no teeth or dentures, excessive lip liner and lipstick, a heavy foundation with blush shading, and days before I had to cut my hair very short to treat the liguid-filled cyst on my head. They haven't reabsorbed with treatment as hoped, so it looks like surgery to remove them. At least they haven't leaked out their gooey disgusting liquid since my hair is shamefully short, and that is because I don't have to brush it. I tried wigs but they were hotter than the devil's workshop.
Ok here it is the uncut, unmade up version of mah.. happy Halloween Awe - thank you . that be my early morning having coffee look
Ugh, I hate pictures of myself and that one reminded me too much of cancer treatment, so buh-bye. I'll just go with flowers.... my youngest daughter sent these.
