I'm conducting a survey to find the percentage of women like to have sex with men they've just met. I limited my random sampling of women to those who wore fishnet stockings with garter belts, see-through blouses and nose rings. So far the survey is saying that women are pretty nasty. Science is cool.
Latest: Federal judge in Fort Worth strikes down Biden’s student loan forgiveness program A U.S. judge in Texas on Thursday blocked President Joe Biden’s plan to provide millions of borrowers with up to $20,000 apiece in federal student-loan forgiveness — a program that was already on hold as a federal appeals court in St. Louis considers a separate lawsuit by six states challenging it. District Court Judge Mark Pittman, an appointee of former President Donald Trump based in Fort Worth, said the program usurped Congress’ power to make laws. “In this country, we are not ruled by an all-powerful executive with a pen and a phone. Instead, we are ruled by a Constitution that provides for three distinct and independent branches of government,” Pittman wrote. He added: “The Court is not blind to the current political division in our country. But it is fundamental to the survival of our Republic that the separation of powers as outlined in our Constitution be preserved.”
Good for the judge. Why in the world would they steal our tax money and give it to someone who didn't earn it. This would mean those who were responsible and worked or paid their way will also have to pay for those who didn't thru taxes.
Now that the Midterms are over, Biden probably won't care much about it anymore, although he might bring it up again before the 2024 elections.
If the 1913' Federal Reserve' wasn't enough communism in comes the FDR gang to begin the end. https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&&p=983d...XR5bmV0LmNvbS9oaXN0b3J5LW9mLXdlbGZhcmUv&ntb=1 The history of welfare begins after the United States was 156 years old. It started in the 1930s with the Great Depression. Three small programs were mixed into the New Deal programs of Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR). Still, welfare remained small until the Great Society Programs of Lyndon Johnson (LBJ) in the 1960s. At the end of the Great Society, eight programs were up and running. Over succeeding years these programs generally expanded their reach and benefits. One exception was welfare reform in 1996. After that, five new programs were added to the welfare system in 1972 (two programs), 1975, 1990, and 1997. In all, there are fourteen welfare programs that make up the welfare system today. All of the welfare programs target low-income individuals and families in need. However, they are not consistent in their qualification rules. More. I liked the quote from Ben, " Benjamin Franklin felt the same way but relied more on his personal experience. He said, “In my youth, I traveled much, and I observed in different countries, that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer.” More. I doubt he had much of a choice. First of all, that is not a part of the president's job. Executive order be damned.
According to a survey from Intelligent.com, 73% of anticipated recipients say they expect to spend their debt forgiveness on non-essential items, including travel, dining out and new tech. Half plan on using the money for a "well-deserved" vacation.
I read that as well. They don't plan to use the money to repay the loans, but instead treat it as free money from the government. Two judges have decided against Biden in this matter so far, so the entire thing may end up at SCOTUS if they agree to hear the case.
Students eligible for loan forgiveness will not receive a check. They will see their loan balances reduced. The debt relief applies only to loan balances before June 30, 2022. Any new loans disbursed on or after July 1, 2022, aren’t eligible for debt relief. It's a one time thing. Doesn't matter what they say on a (at best questionable) survey. Would you rather the government monitor their spending from that time on?
