I often say Party On! I don't know who Wayne was but it often gets a smile. (Maybe the receiver is thinking, Poor, brainless old lady?)
I have noticed that I only ask people, "How are you doing?" when I am really interested in how thy are doing. Since this thread started I have been monitoring my own behavior. For instance, when I talk to those folks from Texas, and ask them how they are doing, I am truly interested in how they are doing, and when I ask a friend who was a career helicopter pilot how he is doing, I am concerned for his health, as his years of abusing himself with heavy fuel bags, cargo, and other stuff has really caught up with him as he got old. Same with a dentist friend hwo has had three failed hip replacements. I found that I say "Hello" to others, but I never ask them how they are doing unless I am truly interested.
