Just a quick "pit and peak."

Pit: We have been cleaning ceiling fans and baseboards today, and replaced all the air-return filters on the HVAC system. I was downstairs and heard a crash so ran upstairs to see if my husband was OK. He was cleaning a ceiling fan in a bedroom and leaned over too far on a 6' ladder.

Peak: The ladder fell over but luckily hubby landed on the BED!! All he hurt was his pride, thank goodness.

My daughter seems to be doing okay the pain that she had in her chest and back didn't return. She has to see another doctor to get checked out fully.
My wife and I didn't get home from an emergency room till about 4:00 in the morning it was a long night. They gave her an IV bag of fluid, then at around 11:30 p.m. she heaved again so they gave her another bag of fluid plus an anti nausea shot.
At about 1:00 a.m. they took her for a CT scan of her intestines, of which the results were good nothing noticeable happening. So winds up she had a stomach bug that drained her fluids causing her heart pulse rate to go as high as 145, anything over 100 is a concern. After the fluids her rates came down well enough to send her home. This morning her heart rate was normal.
One of my grandkids had this bug last week that's how my wife caught it. The the brother and sister now have it so all three of my grandkids that live in the second trailer are sick with a stomach bug.
I have been running to get food, groceries whatever is needed to support them until they're better.
This morning I went to the grocery store and got about 20 bottles of a drink similar to Gatorade that has electrolytes in it for my wife and my three grandkids. I'm doing okay just tired and achy Advil take care of that.

I went to two arts & crafts shows today. Wonderful stuff, so-so stuff, awful stuff, just the usual variety. I was greatly tempted by a few things but I resisted and only bought food.

Then I came home and decided to put my new Christmas tree together to make sure the lights worked. Of course, there was one support leg that WOULD NOT fit into the bracket no matter what I did (the usual poor quality of anything I buy today). Knowing that if I took it back, I'd probably get something that ALSO had something wrong with it, I decided to use The Bigger Hammer Theory on it (The Bigger Hammer Theory holds that there are no problems that cannot be solved with a Bigger Hammer). After some hammering, the support leg fit into the bracket. Any hope of getting that rascal OUT of the bracket come the day after Christmas, though, is faint....very faint. Oh, well, I don't care.

And the tree looks great. It's personally gracing the garage at the moment because I.WILL.NOT bring it into the house until the day after Thanksgiving. I do have my limitations, y'know. Otherwise, we'll just have to start celebrating HallowThanksMas and put up a tree on Labor Day, which we decorate with bats and candycorn chains for a month, turkey legs and yams for a month and then sparkly tinsel for the rest of the time.

PIT- Since the house fire, been very busy working with the cleanup/out crew. If you've never had a fire in your home before it's a process that you follow, for us it's learning as you go. Fortunately we hired I'm not sure what his title is but he's the interface between us and the insurance company he gives you options, he has the experience to help you get through this without a lot of hassle. He also helped us with a contractor, with getting the mobile homes, and getting the people that will clean out and gut the house.
A crew has been in the house the last 10 days or so, they are gutting the house and cleaning, wrapping and boxing things we want to keep, so we are constantly going through stuff. Unfortunately we cannot get rid of any contents that we don't want until the insurance company finalizes a content book, which we'll get an opportunity to review. fortunately we don't have to do the physical work, but it's still tiring and stressful.
PEAK- found about 40 of my Christmas CDs, and about 30 of my others.

Before I start my whine, surley all will work out - I hope. We got our moving quote in Oct. for moveto Kansas. The rep for this move- Steven assured us all is well, in the system, everything set including the boat and trailer. Few weeksago text him as we still had not signed the quote via emai. No problem that will come later.
Today i text him, um he is no longer with the company. Red flags and my defense system is already in kick ass mode. Text back -this would have been nice to know early on. Response - just happened recently.
Called company- nope - happened few weeks ago.
I have been tossed around three times already today as to whom will be handling our move. Now many questions, want photo and demisions of boat. Even asked if we wanted another quote.
Bottom line, mama aint happy and awe all know how that works.
My timeline for this has gone smooth until today. I am hoping this all works itself out. Plus our insurance company says we are covered even out of state. But now the move guy says that baloney and we really need their insurance. Sigh :( just wantthis over with.

Pit: After 20 years of not seeing a dentist, the time has come! Got a tooth (bottom back) that has been broken and cavity now it. I have to use Anbesol Gel (tooth pain) and a couple of drops of CBD Oil into the tooth. But, when I take a 50mg Tramadol, for my shoulder pain, the Tramadol also calms down the tooth pain. Will have to take care of the tooth this way for a couple of weeks.

Peak: The extra boat cover we got, the company sent us a UPS Return, so we don't have to pay to have it returned. Boat cover went to UPS earlier this week. They were appreciative of us letting them know we got two of them and are sending the second one back.

We just adopted a little rescue kitty, about 7 years old, had it kind of rough this past year apparently, got dumped when owners “got tired of her”. We know this because it was the daughter of the parents who dumped her that did the rescue. Anyway, we just took her in for what seems like it might have been her first vet visit (other than being spayed) because she did NOT like it. We got the test results back and are scheduled for an echocardiogram for her because it looks like she might have heart failure, the exact same thing we just lost our last kitty to only less than 2 months ago.

Some people should not have pets.:( So many people adopt and then dump them after the newness wears off. Even if your new kitty is only with you for a short time, it will have known real love. You cared enough to give it a home and have the sweet kitty examined. I like animals more than people most days.:)

Yeah, the rescue said we could bring her back. Nope, doesn’t work that way. We made a commitment to her and giving her back would just be like dumping her again. No way. It just really pains me though. I hope her marker was high because of a bad test result. We had that happen once. She’s getting a second BNP before the echo, just in case it was a false positive. Despite being rejected, she is incredibly affectionate and trusting. Maybe her time in the rescue has taught her to trust again.

I much prefer animals, most any day.
