    I'm sorry about that, Kate. My knees are my biggest pain obstacle when it comes to walking, too. For me, if I walked more I'd lose weight and my knees would hurt less, but it's hard to walk more because my knees hurt.

    My knees not great but they improved dramatically once I started this exercise.
    I had a Bakers Cyst a couple time, one time I hurt so bad from head to toe it seemed that I actually laid on the er floors and groaned, [ I'm a germ fanatic so laying on er floor is just something I'd never do] leg was really swollen.

    I swear by PT for neck,knees,etc,.

    I may skip the trail walk today been dancing and today is vacuum and mop floors. A job I don't care for but has to be done.

    Have you tried taking LIQUID B12 supplement? It might help. It can take a while for it to kick in for some people, but I know of some that it has helped with the neuropathy. The liquid form of b12 is better than pill. As we get older, we can't absorb it through pills as well.

    Thanks Kyrstal, and your right about the B12, my friend and her hubby both get their B12 in shots monthly.
    I'll sure check on the liquid from.

    i do walk quite a bit, but enjoy occasions of total physical inactivity, usually while hyperfocused on the cyber side of life. it can be quite a shock to the system but switching back and forth is something i've done from time to time.

    lately i've seemed to have regained much of the agility and strength enjoyed while skateboarding for pepsi in the 70's (snowboarding and surfing too.) though i'm not sliding around on boards anymore, i move a bit of reclaimed lumber around for building or burning. occurred to me that it's all good... walkin' on wood.

    hi @Marie Mallery... thank you, nice to make your acquaintance.

    walking around our rolling hills wound up with bushels of black walnuts and stomping off the husk made my indian summer. extracting the nutritious flavorful flesh using vice-grips and a tweezer is body building too.

    I sure MISS my body that worked pretty darn good before hip replacement and all the damage done...I'd love to exchange stories with others dealing with this too.

    I'm curious. Why would you get a hip replacement if your body worked pretty darned good before it?

    I really miss being able to do the walking like I used to do also, @Joy Martin . Besides my knees not working good and worrying that I might collapse and fall out walking somewhere, my heart failure limits the oxygen that I get and I am out of breath , just walking a little ways.
    What i try to do now is walk back and forth in my house, because I feel safer there, and there are no obstructions that might trip me up.
    Being able to go to the fitness center is a lifesaver to me, because I can do things in the water that I can’t do otherwise, and if I did lose my balance and fall, I just go “splash” and not “splat”.

    My medicare advantage pays for the fitness center membership, and I have been really glad to have it. After i started doing knee exercises in the water, it has helped my knees a lot to be able to walk safely again.
