Procrastination is my motivator. When it hits me that I'm putting things off I plan my attack and get up and get 'er done. These past two weeks of getting up at 3am has been the culprit of my procrastination. I can't go to Kroger at 3 am or 4 or 5 so I get on my computer thinking I'll go around 8. 8 o'clock comes around and I push back til later and I just don't go. I know that I'm an early bird but at 3 am? No No Nanette.
There is a site called fly lady which is a spin off of S.H.E--sidetracked home executives. It helps people with clutter and dirty houses to get organized. It is like a lot of self improvement programs. One pile or job at a time. She gives the command of Polish your Sink! and then moves on from there with reasons why and encouragement. I bought the book long ago but had to buy another because I lost the first one.
Watching again just now on prime The Gospel of Matthew... this moment >> /video blocked, caption only/ about 1 hr 44 m into movie, just after Jesus says what makes this possible.
Sometimes I just have too many other things going on, as in: laundry, loading/running/unloading dishwasher, vaccuming and mopping with Hazel and Mabel (iRobots). So, that leaves some things, like three different things, sitting on the floor by the desktop, to do/finish. My wife's stamp collection, to put into books. Her quarter collection, that I have to sort out by dates and put into bank quarter sleeves and pictures I'm cutting out of old Farm & Ranch Magazines to put into a scrapbook. Lots of pictures of kids with farm/ranch animals and helping their dads with crops. A 5 year old sitting in a John Deere tractor seat and a 17 year old young lady curled up (sleeping) next to her prize bovine. Cute, cute, cute!
Our Comcast "agreement" (I would call it a contract but it applies to us and not them) expired a couple of weeks ago and I am filled with dread when it comes to calling them. Not sure why that is, but I have procrastinated long enough to get an eye-opening monthly statement, so I need to get on the ball with that.
