I few days ago, I messaged Babs from Facebook because I had not seen her posting anything for a while. Her daughter wrote back to me to let me know that Babs health has taken a hard turn for the worse. As most of you know, Babs has been battling cancer for the last several years, and doing very well up until now, and apparently she got a lot worse around Thanksgiving. I asked her daughter if it was okay to share with the forum and also request prayers for Babs, and she just now messaged me back and gave me permission to share. I have asked her to please keep me updated on how Babs is doing, and she has her family with her as well as hospice taking care of her right now; so she is still able to be at home.
While this is very sad news, after reading several of Bab's posts, she dealt with her breast cancer as she believed she should. She held true to what she believed God had planned for her. How old is Babs? My best wishes go to her and her family and all those that work in hospice.
Here is the thread that Babs started about her journey with cancer, for those who have not followed her though this part of her life. She is a committed Christian lady, and has made herself the best life she can going through all of this illness with great courage. Anyone who prays, please add your prayers for Babs and her family , who are also suffering at this time. http://www.seniorsonly.club/threads/am-i-facing-breast-cancer.11364/
thank you so much for this Yvonne...we do pray for babs and her comfort...so glad her family is seeing to her needs.
Although I had, until recently, been in touch with her occasionally on Facebook, I have greatly missed having her here with us in the forum, and am saddened that her health has declined. She is a wonderful woman.
Yvonne linked to the lengthy thread Babs created from Day 1 of her journey. If I recall correctly, she was diagnosed with breast cancer in early 2019, was talking about double mastectomy, her faith led her in a different direction, and she's relied on that faith and on homeopathy. That was 3 1/2 years ago, and she's kept a quality of life that traditional treatments may have diminished. I cannot help but feel in awe and inspired when I read her posts. Such a strong faith. Such a strong lady.
As a new member here I don't know Babs - but all the same it is sad to hear about her cancer. My thoughts and best wishes to Babs and her family, may God bless them all through this difficult time.
I have the greatest admiration for Bab's faith. My prayer is the Jesus will be with her and guide her on her journey until she is home.
So saddened to read this about Babs on the Eve of a New Year. Prayers for her and her family. Hopefully she is comfortable and knows we are thinking of her tonight.
Thinking of Babs. I read all her posts. She is such an inspiration. I just want to say..... Thank you Babs, I have made my new years resolution to get closer to God. And to trust Him more.
