I think we need a place to be silly. A place just for fun. Sometime we just feel like being light hearted. If we have a thread just for that then those of us that fit this catagory will have a place to meet up in. I can think of five of us that would fit into this thread quite easily and probably quite often. What do you adult juveniles think?
Some of us silly types prefer our freedom. We need to bounce off of other comments in order to get our silly going.
I remember seeing silly's obituary a while back ... Silly B. 1958 / D. 2012 Silly worked for several forums but was never truly appreciated. He was a member of Toastmasters, Silly Lodge #645 and the Libertarian Party. He is survived by his wife Salty and his two sons, Silly Billy and Snotty
Yes Phil, but Silly Putty has always been such a good reflection of others, and we need him because of his reputation of conveying such distorted views.
My silly for today: First one in the bathtub is the ring leader. My success story: I started on a shoestring and worked my way up until I got my face slapped.
@Karen McKenzie , we all need some silly. It helps to keep us mentally flexible. What ever you see as silly works for me. I was just noticing that sometimes we just can't help ourselves from going over the wall, and I too just want someone to banter away with sometimes. I thought it might be fun to check in once in a while, and see if there is anyone else wanting to play. Silly fun is as good for us adult juveniles as it can be for the younger version. We all know this dude, and evidently he must have thought silly was important too.
I believe that's when he first met Marilyn Monroe. That's what the Internet says anyway, and the Internet is always right.
@Sifu Phil Bonifonte , what is the silliest thing you like to do? I use to drive poor Michael up the wall with the silly things I'd get myself into. One of the things I like to do is play outside in a hurricane. I know, I know, not too smart, but it's a lot of fun, and there is so much energy out in the middle of one. I've also gotten into trouble with the stuff I've gotten my kids, and grandkids to do. Now they are watching me very closely with the great grandkids. This my one of my granddaughters idea to cheer me up over the holidays. She sent me this last week.
I no longer do silly things. I am now a scholarly, serious student of advanced metaphysics. People that are silly mean nothing to me. Where does "silly" become "deadly"? I understand about the energy, though - I get the same thrill by sticking my head in the toilet and flushing. I'm surprised they don't have you on a chain or leash! Cute granddaughter - I can see where she gets her sense of humor.
