I came across this video by another Icelandic composer I didn't know much about, but saw his name on the credits of an Icelanic thriller Lisa and I are captivated with at the moment, it's called "Trapped" and far from peaceful, but this music and video are.

Beautiful posts. It made me reflect on how peace is an inward choice in a way..especially in the face of turmoil outside us. We can let the chaos in..which I do sometimes..or bolt the door against it. My faith helps me in that I find peace in my knowledge that He understands and cares for my heart.

A place can bring serenity too..for sure...but I think it might be anything..anywhere..I just need eyes to see it. It might be a sound too..like right now I can hear a train in the distance. I love that whistle blowing. It just makes me feel all is well..no idea why.

I do love watching my hummingbirds and their antics. I can be sitting on the patio and one will hover at eye level checking me out. I wonder if it sees anything in my eyes. I wonder.

I also carry peace around with me in the form of my safe place. It's just the real memory of an area I love in the Sierras when we used to go camping. I put myself there when I'm in the dentist's chair or any other place I can't escape from. :). It works for me.
