I just heard from Al Amoling. He's in the hospital after having had a stroke. I'll keep us updated as soon as he's able to tell me more.
Bad news that Al is on the hospital, and good news that you heard from him, @Lois Winters ! I think that we have all been worrying about Al, and Ken has been trying to contact him with no luck. Please let him know that we all care, hoping and praying that he gets better soon, and back out of the hospital.
Sorry to hear but at least he can communicate. I hope he doesn't have any permanent problems resulting from this that force him to leave his home and go into assisted living.
I got a voice message from Al. It was brief, but he just wanted to tell me he was feeling much better. He didn't sound too great, but his voice was pretty strong. Keep praying.
Al attempted to send me a written message today. It was somewhat jumbled, but I gathered he's lost the use of his left side and hopes to go home soon. I hope he has some help at home. I know he lost his wife a year or so ago, but I don't know if they have children. I told him I was keep you all up to date.
Do they have hyperbaric treatment at the hospital? I told my hubby, if I ever had a stroke to take me to Neenah. My mother-in-law was laid up way too long after minimal treatment.
