Since Tucker Carlson has left Fox News, the ratings and stock market value has crashed for that company, which used to be the news channel that most conservative people watched.
After the stolen election was called for Biden by Fox way before the votes were all counted, people started realizing that Fox might be just pretending to be for conservatives; but since the other big news channels, like CNN were totally controlled by liberals, Fox was still the television news mostly watched by conservatives.

However, CNN was recently sold, and the new owner is actually a Republican, and they have worked out a deal with President Trump to do a Town Hall event on May 10th.
This will be the first of a series of town halls that CNN intends to do before the 2024 election, and it is pretty interesting that they are starting out with President Trump himself.

If this goes well, they will probably be having the presidential contenders from both parties on air at town halls all across America in the coming year, and this will definitely be giving CNN a huge boost in ratings.

Too late for me. I’ve given up on broadcast news shows. When ratings of celebrity propagandists became more important than factual reporting, real investigative journalism died.

I couldn't care less since I don't watch any of them. It wouldn't surprise me to see Carlson end up on CNN, though. He's already shown that he talks out of both sides of his mouth. Personally I don't see his appeal.

Rather than watching news broadcasts, which are not very different from pundit shows these days, I hunt down the information I'm interested in and try to determine what the likely facts are from a variety of sources, but statistics are useless to me because they're all BS, like the idea that immigration is down 90% since Biden took office or that we've been paying down the national debt. These, the virus lies, and even the results of the last presidential election, don't pass the smell test, so I'm not going to waste brain cells on any of that stuff. Replacing one lie with another doesn't seem to be a productive use of my time.

I don't like him either, but probably for different reasons. I couldn't care less about his snarky attitude, or whether he's mean to people, but I don't trust that he is who he pretends to be politically. If he wouldn't lose all credibility in the process, he could easily end up stumping for Biden in 2024.

I think the Cancel Culture has put the final nail in that coffin. The most informative source I've found is forums, where I can observe the different sides debating the issue, and--hopefully--each supporting their position. That way I get a context and some depth to the arguments, rather than a one-sided opinion piece.

I liked him the first few times I saw him, then he got to be like fingernails on a chalk board. And then, he started laughing that was almost hysterical, like he had lost his marbles.

I don't watch news much now, just once in awhile if a youtube video catches my eye, then I have to look of course, and I'm usually sorry I did. CNN being run by a Republican is a bit uplifting but I'm not going to run over there and see what's being reported because it's just not healthy for me:confused: I do like getting on here and seeing @Yvonne Smith (Yvonne's findings). They're always a pretty good read ;)

I agree John, this is the only forum I come to, to talk to others though. I'm not interested in listening to the Left jabber on as if they live in some kind of bubble. I can see plain enough the difference between a Trump Presidency and a biden, or obama. This is the most I've seen this country change for the worse in my lifetime, but at least I know the enemy is within, in more than one way.

amen to that, don't want to waste what brain-cells I have left . When I know anyone can put up anything they want online, make anything up that pleases them, I have to ask the same old question, why do any of us believe anything anymore? I know I believe what I choose to believe. The stuff that seems good to me that makes me feel secure, and hopeful for the future. That being said, I don't plan on being stupid, it happens, I just don't plan it:D so I do have times I'm paying attention to people I think are on the right side of life. The rest I don't allow, most times, them to take up any space in my brain.

Apparently, CNN is giving up on their (feeble) attempt to be an actual news station, and going back to the left-wing liberal view of everything again. They hired an independent research company to find out why they had been losing so many listeners/watchers, and the answer was because of their untruthfulness and biased liberal reporting.
So, they hired Chris Licht to try and bring integrity back to CNN. He is the person responsible foe the interview with President Trump, which actually gave CNN the highest ratings they have had for the last few years.
However, their liberal base complained vehemently about them putting on Trump “to spread his lies” in the news media, so now CNN has let Chris Licht go, and it looks like they will be going back to just being a liberal propaganda machine again. Not that they ever really stopped being one, but at least they acted like they were making an effort to be better.
Since CNN is what is played in every airport, the sad truth is that most of the people they count as listeners are simply people traveling through the airports and not actually watching CNN news.

Meanwhile, Tucker Carlson is at 75,000,000 views and counting on his first Twitter appearance. That absolutely dwarfs anything MSM and cable have done. Things are a-changing.

You gotta wonder if antenna/cable news might be going the way of AM radio.

Well, I don't care for his style, but if he's gathering conservatives together to watch, I'm glad. Maybe I need to overlook his personality like I have to do with President Trump like when he buys into people running him down, taking it personally. I know it's personal attacks, obviously, how many trumped up charges have they piled on him now?? But he's right, they are after us ultimately, they just know how popular he is, and because he's busted up their little "money-grubbing", controlling and manipulating America, and they hate him. That just shows me he is the man for the job because the Right side loves him to say outloud what we would love to :D
