Argh. I've already had to change sweaty clothes today. I was digging in the yard and nearly swooned. Now I'm sitting by the fan with a bottle of ice water.

Still cool and rainy here with highs in the 50s F. and lows in the 40s F. Those crazy Texans who moved up here for a "simpler lifestyle" are almost in tears that this is summer.

They'd also be in tears in TX. We are under a heat advisory with near-record temps this week. At least they survived an Alaskan winter.

We were at 100 last week and now at 78 for the high today with a gentle breeze. It was a great day for my walk and I did pick up the branches from the wind storm. This entire spring has been record breaking. Not many Texans moving here. We are a patriotic area, but in a commie state. :p

Today is sunny and nice..so was yesterday until about 7 last night. Winds almost 70 miles an hour, rain so hard could not see across the street. Folded our corn plants over, scattered zucchini , bent the beans..Mark is out not re accessing the damage.

I woke up at 4am again and it was 76 then but we're looking at some record highs all weekend. There is a chance of a shower coming in but it is so hot it could evaporate before it ever hits the ground even with all the humidity we now have. I need to go shop for a few minutes for cat food and I hate to get out but it's hard to explain to them if their food dishes are empty. The 3 kitties are doing fine, all 3 sleep up against the bathtub because it is cooler I suppose. I leave enough crack in the door so the cool air in the hall can go thru and give them a little relief. They do lay down next to that crack so I have to be careful when I open the door so's not to hurt them. They're awful spry for such little tiny dudes. I laugh at one because it's head is exactly like his mom's, solid black head scarf and round under the eyelids. I can't name it zorro like the grown cat now I have to think of another 3 good names. Two of the older family members are not coming to eat every morning like they normally do. When they get hungry enough they eventually do come in to eat. I think in another 2 weeks those little ones will be ready to have some milk but still too young for solid food. I will probably get a bag of kitten dry food and see if they can nibble on it if not I know 8 others who know how to nibble. I am hoping it rains today and cools it down a bit. I don't want to nap today because it is really messing up my sleeping time tables in the night. I sit here and can't keep my head up sometimes so I have no choice but to lay down for a bit.

Holy crap! It hit 78 F. here today! It was only predicted to get to the mid-60s. We were fatigued from the heat! Now our high got to @Beth Gallagher's low! We'll see how it continues. We have now had 4 days of summer-like weather since the beginning of June. Low should be around 55 F.
